  1. Well......no responses to the ads to far. Ha ha ha ha ha!! I came home yesterday and this little dog met me at the car and was jumping on the door of the car. She was crying and so happy to see me. I couldn't get out of the car fast enough for her. Dang it!! I have received a message from a local organization that is willing to pay for all of her vet bills if we will foster her until they can find her a "furever" home. I will talk to Bama about this. I don't want to use funds from the organization if we are going to keep her. I'm worried that she may be pregnant and with the way mosquitoes are swarming around her, I'm worried about heart worms which are a huge problem in our area. Here's another pic.

  4. Well..........we took her today to see if she was microchipped and she's not. She jumped in the car like she's ridden before. She was a perfect angel the whole time. Bama and my daughter have fallen in love and want to keep her. I want another Maltese. But...............she is mighty sweet.
  5. As most of you know, we lost our beloved dog yesterday. It's been incredibly hard for us. We buried her early yesterday afternoon. A couple of hours later, I had to run an errand. I went to walk out the back door as usual and I see through the window............................a dog..............on our porch.............asleep. I turned around and told Bama so he came to look too. A mid-sized black and white dog was laying on our porch. We had to laugh. Now we used to get lots of stray dogs out here in the woods where we live. We kept some of them and got rid of some. It's been many years since we've even seen a stray dog out here. This little girl is incredibly sweet and humble. We have no idea how old she is or what breed(s) she is. She appears to have had puppies in the recent past and acts as though she's been someone's pet. I've put ads for her on several Facebook pages but I have all ideas that she will not be claimed. I have every intention of getting another dog. I want another Maltese. It doesn't look like this new dog is giving us much of a choice. We haven't seen her leave our porch since yesterday. Weird.
  6. I'd like to thank everyone for the love and support given to us during our dog's illness and subsequent death. She was our baby and a vital member of our family. I am overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us during this difficult time in our lives. I never expected so many texts, calls and messages from people who have never even met us. It means more than you know.
  7. I read the appeals too. I think some of them are hilarious. I don't like that I can't see all of the comments anymore. My favorite one was a guy that admitted to hacking and then asked to join the clan.
  8. Praying for your family.
  9. Good conversations. This will be my favorite event.
  10. Great news. Now he will experience what it's like to be a victim.
  11. I've seen this before. People are so talented!
  12. Still my favorite thread. I love to see/hear/read stories about amazing people.
  13. Wish I could understand what they were saying. The look on the little boy's face was awesome! And the 2 ladies at that end.......hilarious!
  14. WOW!!!! That was awesome!!! So not what I was expecting!
  15. Jessica: We are here for you and your family. Our hearts and prayers go out to you. If there is anything I can do to make this any easier, please do hesitate to ask. Take care of yourself. BB
  16. Awesome! Of course he stood out from the crowd! What an amazing opportunity for an amazing young man!
  17. Oh Bob, I am so sorry. I know this is a horrific thing that your family is going through. I will be praying for all of you, especially your daughter.
  18. Janey: If cost is an issue, start simple. Johnny's set up is the ultimate but you need to start small. Get a kit like this to start with: http://www.crazyvapors.com/shop/ego-ce4-900-mah-passthrough-starter-kit/ (They have pretty colors and girly designs too ) You will have to replace the clearomizers after a while. Mine last 1-2 weeks and they are $5 each but many people say they last a month or more. You will not have to replace the batteries for probably a year. And get liquid like this: http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/e-liquid/pre-mixed-e-liquid/titan-fluid/10ml-tw-titan-fluid-product.html or http://www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/shop/sample-bottles.html This is an even cheaper option for starting out: http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/electronic-cigarette-starter-kits/tornado-tank/tornadotank-e-nic-compact-starter-kit-2-product.html I suggest you use nicotine strength of around 24 mg if you're used to full flavor cigarettes. I even use 36 mg sometimes. The owners of the stores above will help you if you have any questions. The people at Johnson's Creek are the best I've ever dealt with. Once you have a good e-cig and find a flavor that you like, you can start upgrading later as you learn more about it. With so many options out there, it can get overwhelming. I looked up e-cigs in your area and found this place: http://www.smokecignals.com/default.asp I don't know how good they are but it looks like they have a decent selection and reasonable prices. It's been over 4 years since I last touched a cigarette!!! I have no regrets and I have no plans to stop vaping. I simply enjoy it.
