Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?', here's an update for you. Nowadays 8 0 % of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!

Hide and Seek will be coming back soon. We now have a Mixed Mod server that will be changing often. Currently, it's Aliens but it will be rotating various mods.

Seems that some folks are enjoying the Aliens mod currently so it's going to stay a little longer. I heard someone say that there are lots of glitches. Would you please post about it so that the "powers that be" that pull the maps out?

Interesting. I just got a call from the super duper tech support guy, Robert. He's "investigating the neighborhood" to see what's going on. He agrees that it's definitely a service problem. Wow! If I had known that I needed to rant publicly two years ago, I would have done so. Oh wait. I did rant 2 years ago but apparently I got their attention this time. He said "Yeah. Our Social Media Department is very good." He is supposed to call back between 6:30 and 7:30 pm tonight. He warned that our service may go on and off this afternoon but I said "That's normal for us."

I really think this is all intentional. We pay for 1.5 mb but rarely get anywhere close to that. Last night, I was downloading a map at 38 kb. We had one technician tell us that AT&T is intentionally throttling the connections in order to frustrate customers so that they will be willing to switch to the new service once it's available. They don't have to be so mean as we'd be more than willing to switch if faster speeds were available. However, because I don't trust AT&T to deliver what they say, I am not willing to sign a contract. I don't expect our pings to improve but faster speeds would definitely help us feel better about our service. Web surfing has become so frustrating for us. Forget watching YouTube videos at our house. A 1 or 2 minute video will take at least 10 minutes to watch. In recent months, TeamSpeak is a big frustration. I only hear bits and pieces of conversations. I suggest to anyone considering AT&T service to visit their forums and see what other customers are saying. I have not looked at their fiber optic forums yet.

What's funny to me is that we have called repeatedly and had technicians come out. But when I go to their public forums, suddenly my issue is being escalated??? I love reading their forums and seeing that we're not the only ones. People all over the country have the exact same problem that we do and they get the same run around. http://forums.att.com/t5/Internet-DSL-General-Care-and/bd-p/internet-General_Care Regardless of who they "escalate" the issue to, it's not going to be fixed. They are focused on the new Uverse service (fiber optics) and they don't care about the old DSL customers. Once they get Uverse to my area, they will raise the price and require us to sign a contract.

Many of you know that we've had the worst internet on the planet for a while now, especially the past few months. I've called and called AT&T and nothing has ever been fixed. I went to their site and began ranting on their forums, along with many other people who have the exact same problem. I just received a call from the "Social Media Department". Okay? They asked what the problem was and are now "escalating my issue to the 'Executive Tech Department" in hopes of getting it resolved. Whatever that means. lol It will be interesting to see what goes down now. The guy didn't bother going through the usual idiocy of resetting the modem or the other stupid stuff they normally tell me.

We have a new server (69.9.170.52:28960) that will be running various mods and it will change often. Last week it was Hide and Seek. Currently, it's the Aliens Mod. Here's info on the current Mod: Aliens -Automatically rank up to 55 -Max rank is 100 -Helicopters have been changed for both teams (Apache and Mi-28) -Alien airstrike is replaced with a UFO. -3 Abilities are available for both teams *Fog of War - (creates a ball of fog around you to make it difficult for enemies to find you... err something.. snipe you ... whatev... - available at level 55) *Scare - This is just a scream or roar and if you are close enough to an enemy it will shellshock them/stun them - available at level 65) *Jetpack - ( The thing everybody wants, and its self explanatory... Just read the screen/lower left when you fly it to know how to control it... - Available at level 75) -The above abilities have 45 second timers between uses (I think 45 anyway).. -If you are on the Human team and are level 100, you are given a certain number of bombs. 2 if regular player, 3 if you can access the admin menu, etc. The bomb will drop when you deploy it, then the screen will tell you how to remote detonate it.. The bomb can also be detonated by damage.. Grenade, Gunshot, Knife.. -If you are on the Alien team and are level 100, you are given a certain number of Portals. 2 if regular player, 3 if you can access the admin menu, etc. Portals will spawn in front of you, and you will need to run through it before it closes... Lasts about 7 seconds I believe. Anybody who runs through it will be teleported to the same place, including enemies.. So watch out.

I can't figure out why so many of you can't come to the USA. lmao!! I have zero desire to go to Canada. While it would be wonderful to meet so many Canadians, there are also many American clan members that I'd love to meet. Of course, I'm partial to the southern US as there's reasons why no one retires up North. There is simply no place on earth that is going to be perfect for everyone to attend XI Fest.

Oh I've been there, Baldi.....and I'm still there. My advice is DO NOT HAVE disk repair surgery!!!!! I had it in 2001 to replace 2 disks in my neck because they were pressing on my spinal cord and I had lost most of the use of my right arm and hand. The pain after surgery far exceeded the pain before surgery. For years, I had severe nerve pain in both arms and still had the neck, shoulder and head pain. The nerves that were pinched were either not repaired properly or became pinched immediately after. I now have 2 more bad disks because anytime you fuse vertebra, it puts too much pressure on the disks above and below the fusion. This whole ordeal has been a nightmare and life changing. I gave up my job that I loved and I can't do simple things like push a grocery cart without severe pain and I can no longer garden the way I like to. Research shows that 80% of people with herniated, prolapsed or bulging disks do not need surgery. Spinal traction is excellent and most disks get better after a couple of months of rehab therapy and medication.

The music was incredibly loud last night. Giggles showed me how to change my config file to get rid of it and it worked beautifully. Not sure how it went for y'all this morning but we laughed hysterically last night while playing. Nothing is funnier than a table running across a field, a telephone pole inside a warehouse or Hxtr thinking he was smart by "hiding" as a seeker. lmao We loved playing this mod.

Yeah, same holds true for those of us who live in the south. This year's XI Fest was the closest one to date and it was still a 9+ hour drive each way. We'll never be able to please everyone as we have people from all over the world. That being said, XI Fest is something I hope everyone can experience at least once.

It's been a ghost town on Friday nights for a while around here.
