  5. I don't even want to hear it. As many of you know, we are stuck with crappy DSL from AT&T that has a MAXIMUM download of 1.5 mb. Not only is the speed pathetic, but more often than not, our connections are horrible. When it rains, we basically can't use the internet. Cable doesn't come to my house but my neighbors have it. The cable company would run it to us if we pay them $1800 up front and commit to a plan of at least $60 per month for 2 years. I've called AT&T numerous times and asked about U-Verse only to find out that it will NEVER be available in my area. I also told them how bad they suck but they say that our low speeds and high pings are "acceptable" by their standards. We're stuck with them unfortunately. We can't even use our Directv on-demand feature because of the crappy internet we have.

  12. Happy Birthday today and tomorrow! I hope it's the best one ever and that all your dreams come true. Have a wonderful day you SEXY BEAST!!! (Bama's birthday is February 29th so he gets 2 "birthdays" because no one knows when the appropriate day is.)
  13. P.S. I hope their penises fall off!!
  14. I agree, also get credit protection going so she can check in and see or be notified of any BS going on My wonderful State let my information get out because they were hacked, I got notification from them last month We live in SC and I got a letter recently as well. People work hard, pay their bills and then get "rewarded" by low life scum bags that profit from it. Makes me sick.
  15. lmao. I wasn't thinking of it that way. I wasn't wishing sex on him. I was wishing that his sexual organs developed such atrocities that mere rotting flesh would be a blessing.
  16. I'm sick over this. She actually believes that she didn't give the guy any information. I tried to explain things to her but this woman believes that her computer isn't connected to the internet unless she's signed into AOL. lol I've told her a hundred times that's not true but she can't wrap her mind around it. She still recalls the days of using dial up internet so she can't comprehend that the computer is always connected to the internet now. She accesses her bank accounts online and she does shop the internet occasionally. She uses it to research family history, check email, Facebook and prepare legal documents for people such as deeds, wills, etc. My only reason for a system restore was to hopefully change settings back and get rid of whatever (if anything) he installed. I was planning on scanning her system for malware and viruses before backing anything up. The guy warned her NOT to install internet security software. lol As for IP addresses, I don't know how to change that. I've told her to call the bank first thing in the morning. I've been telling her for weeks that I was going to install TeamViewer on her's and my dad's computers so that I could help maintain them. I haven't done it yet. When I set up my dad's new computer a year ago, I made him a user account. He's not the admin on his own computer. I have to install the Windows updates and do the maintenance because he's not allowed to install anything. He likes it that way as he's never used a computer before. I hope the scammer guy gets every sexually transmitted disease on this planet and even some new ones that we don't know about!!!!
  17. My mom (a person who should NEVER have access to a computer) received a call from a scammer today who told her he was from Microsoft and told her that her computer had been hacked. He then proceeded to walk her though the process of giving him remote access to her computer. <sigh> I have no idea what he installed on her computer but I'm sure it was malicious. I don't even begin to know how to proceed with fixing it. I had her unplug her ethernet cable even though she said the guy insisted that she keep the computer on and connected to the internet. The computer was connected for 8 hours after he called her. He also warned her not to install a new internet security software. lol She wants to start backing up her files in preparation to wipe the computer clean. She still has Windows XP and I'm not sure I even remember how that works. I plan to scan her system, look at the logs to see what was done, and then maybe do a system restore. I have no idea what this guy may have installed or what settings he changed. I believe he probably put a keylogger on and God only knows what else. The guy called from this number: 214-329-9692. I googled it and saw other stories identical to hers. Of course he had an Indian accent but an American name. He said he was calling from New Jersey but this is a Texas number, not that it matters. He was probably calling from India. Ugh! I hope he gets Crotch Rot!!!
