Thanks Ill give it a try. I have done that with other Steam games too. Ill get back to ya. Have also installed latest card drivers too. Just seems to be a quick disconnect between maps when playing multi player and then black screen, then map loads and "poof" my fps is is cut in half of what it was. down to 30 to 40 fps when it was hovering around 90 to 125. leave game go into nvidia control panel disable SLI, then enable SLI and load game and it seems to stick for a while and sometime not. very aggravating. It just random.

Im running 2 GTX 285. I thought they were just getting to hot but thats not the case. I stand corrected it is directx 9 game.

Ya I would have to agree, no spawn protection is no bueno. Maybe in the future.

From time to time I get this black sceen when entering a new map on multi player, then my fps drops to about half of what is was. Now the only cure I have found was to exit game go into my NVIDA control panel, disable SLI to one card that is, then enable SLI and go back to game and all is ok for a while. Some times it sticks for quite a while and sometimes it dont. Its like a disconnect or something. It also dose this thing with one card too. Ive done the the known tweaks also. Might have something to do with my cards being direct x 10 and the game is a direct x 11 game. Anyone having the same problem. It seems to be quite common if you goggle it. Also disabled Steam Cloud too.

It sure would be nice to have one, what do you all think?

Me too on west coast. Random freezes. CIs all very common on our servers glad its not just me. Control Alt Delete over and out.

Hey Too Cute If I were looking to buy a new rig now check out Digital Storm. Got mine from them , they got a nice forum there that you can explore all the details with folks. I would also consider warantee to, some builders lack in that department. You can speck out one there,post it their forum and get a feed back. Also consider the distance and shipping cost when its time for repair. It all come down to your walet too. I just wish the place had weekend support. But it is in house not in India or some third party. Got 5 k in mine and I still stink! But I enjoy the hell out of it. Going on my third year with it and my warrentee will expire and I will be shipping it back for an upgrade. I will say this,I had a power supply and one video card go south but parts and labor were covered. They do a great job of emailng on your build progess or repair. If money was on object I would go with Falcon computers,damn $ though. But I think its 24/7 in house support. If I had the time I would and the know how I would build one myself. Digital Storm is located in California. They even have an option if your perfer to have your rig shipped in a crate. I would assume for people over seas. And that aint going to be cheap. Anyway give it a looksee.

Hi Damage They are great, they have some silly morphing shit that you can use if you want, it is funny to some and annoying to others. They are a little "bulky" and a tad bit warm but the sound is outstanding and they are bullet proof strong. They are very adjustable. The cord is not a pig tail coil that most are used to. It is instead a heavy duty nylon mesh type kinda stiff like. Might be the last headset you will likely ever own. There is also a Ventrilo setting also.

Haven't seen one XI server on the west coast yet in LA area that is. Bound to show up sometime. Sure would be nice to see an ip search on the browser or is there one somewhere?

Ok no problem changing your profile name its painless, now if I could only find XI servers on the browser I don't know what the name of the servers are and apparently there no way to enter an ip in this half baked browser either. Thanks for the help all. So my guess is you got to follow a freind in though Xfire?

Hi All What are they called in server list? Im on the west coast and can't locat any XI servers on Black Ops out here. And btw theirs no way to enter ip address on the browser either.

Thanks guys for the reply wasn't sure about the risk for my other games on Steam. As far as I have researched you cannot change your account name. If you should do so my guess is you lose all and I don't know if Steam warns you if you attemed it. It danm well should. I don't know if when you first load COD Black Ops and you don't already have a Steam Account, are you promt to create an account? Im just wondering how many will use their XI name for the main account and discover that they cannot use it for a profile name. Or changing an existing profile name to your XI name only to find out that it won't accept it due to its already used or some other reason. Now what dose one do, create a new XI name? And how will anybody know that your an original XI member using a different profle name you had to create??? Lets just you ceate a new profile name and want to get or an XI server and are kicked because Know one knows who the hell you are.

Hi all, I'm not sure what the hell to do here to edit profile name. I would like to switch from my steam profile name to" KillingTime" but I already have six other games via Steam under 2 accounts. Now I'm peranoid about this change. I have racing games that let you create any profile name you want under Steam I think? I read how to edit and I get that part but with my other games under steam and the possibilty of fucking up my accounts and loosing all my other games just to change my profile name for Black ops is making me nervous.... Any Steam savy folks out there that can help I would be greatly appreciated. Im wondering if changing your Steam profile name would affect loging on to Steam to play a different game? Would if reset my other Steam games? Or just lose all my other Steam games and have to repurchase? What can I say I'am an xtremeidiot.

Hellow sgt I have moved freight for 35 years and I know the fear of the dreaded mattress.... I made a switch to a memory foam type and being very sceptical of all the hype I had know idea what I was instore for. Now switching from a very expensive Simmons pillow top mattress to a "rubber" Tempur Pedic type made me nervous. Very stiff feeling a first and a lousy night sleep the first night but no pain in the morning, Hmmm this is wierd. Second night was better and the rest is history. Im 55 years old and I never thougth it would do any good. Give it a try. Ive had it for about a month and "never" slep better and no more insane back pain. I also do a little steching before I hit the sack.
