well buying a new pc is out i am not to sure what it is like in the us at the moment ,but in the uk if things continue like they are ,we will be eating our pc not buying new ones lol, i have to go with what i have [and moan like fuck when i get killed a lot]so which one ram or card?, oh ps thanks for that bama that means a lot, when the likes of larsen [and you]are using my head for a butt mop lol,and why trust me mate its 12 years old [with the same motherboard] if it was any younger it would be your head all over the screen not mine when we meet on ace.i even replaced the processor [?] with a pull out pentium 4 [2.66 ghz] any idea how hard it is to get decent thermal paste? i was thinking ram to help take the load of the card,

greetings and erm help!!! i have a problem with low fps on ace mod 25 to 65 sometimes .now tonight i shot a lot of guys with no problem. but one guy would not die, i am going to assume [since he is well known]that it was bad hit reg on my part [a fucking again lol]now if you had a very limited budget ,would you get more ram or a better card,at the moment i have a 12 years old self build pc i call frankenstein so i will assume that the low fps is at my end ,although i have "ammended" my config file, and have all settings as low as they can get,what do you guys think causes low fps? as i appear to suffer from the same problem being in the red in uk servers as well,[sometimes]card or ram i have 1.5 gig of ram and a overclocked 7600 gs cheers

john tams Hi did that www.speedtest.net thingy My results from UK to Chicago were as follows, Ping 120 D/load 10.44mbps Upload 1.4mbps. I'm on Virgin 20 meg connection. Just wondering how this stacks up against other guys/gals from the UK? is anyone getting better from another provider? just curious! JT i use that site all the time how did you measure ping from chicago to the uk?

north herts [uk] i am with virgin and get 30 mps the only problem is every now nad then it nose dives to 19/20 mps for about 2 mins

Ruggerxi chris4874 please in the name of what ever god you choose to worship, get rid of noobtubes, i know that everyone uses them now and then, but its plain daft now, there are times when you cannot move on a map[no matter how fast you move after respawning]before someone gets you, and yes i know the idea will piss some guys off,but wheres the fun in respawning only to get blasted by the same guy camping with a noobtube. You have 4 secs of spawn protection so you shouldnt die when you spawn unless you are aiming or shooting at someone sorry no thats what i mean just after moving, but then again move faster? lol

now please do not get me wrong,i am not by definition a whinger [yes its true]but i am really interested in peoples views about someone typing in afk, do you kill them regardless?,this happened to me on the ace mod last night, i typed in afk [in caps] answered the phone, went back to the keyboard to find i was dead. on asking who had done it, i was met with funny comments about extra points and "boo ooo",now if spawn killing is a no no [after last nights sporting display want to bet on that?]then why not afk kills? ,i understand about the heat of the moment but to be targeted because i was afk is to me wrong, your views please?

uk version, and hardware wise crap but it will play [on paper] i can get the game to play, but it took less time to fight world war 2 than to play it lol

yep had the same problem in the end i took it out, and am now back to downloading each new map at the amazing speed of 12/25 kps, by the time i get on most guys have at 5 kills is it worth it if i know that i can never get a top 3 [even if i was good enough lol

my copy of this game never crashes because i cannot get on to play it, i load it ,and get the black screen of death, then after about 4/5 mins it loads up and i can play,then for the next bit i go through it all again,in the end i gave up took it out of the pc and dumped it in a cupboard,thats a shame becausec it looked like a great game

if the ace mod gets "tested" every now and then please feel free to do it again real soon, i have been told that if you get killed and your screen is shaking then the person is using a hack is this true?,as it happens a lot on ace mod [normally by germans for some reason]as for hacking how do you feel about tweaking your config file on multiplayer ?,i checked with punkbuster and apart from "corspe count" they have no problem with it, but some people might think you are hacking,at the end of the day with a overclocked 7600gs and 1.5 gig of ram i will always be done over, but we all have doubts about players some times,and spare me the "it never happens here "sob story becuse we all know it happens on every on line game and punk buster is crap [ is it switched on in ace mod the last time i checked the server info it was off]just for the record i get slaughtered every time i play by very good players but a few of them do leave me with doubts?

X-RayXI Ping rates: 1. What game. 2. Crappy hardware 3. No updated drivers / maintenance. 4. File Corruption after awhile. Next is the internet speed/ provider. i could not disagree more , hardware wise, mine is self built. and old, but rates an "a" with pingtest ,my drivers are all up to date, and the system itself whilst being xp version 3 is old but is also maintained everyweek,ref spyware etc. packet wise 250 sent 250 recieved with a low ping rate to the tester.it cannot be bad hit reg all of the time [not with the same guy] and i have been told that if you are hit and the screen is shaking that guy is using "god mode" [ a hack] more than likly have to learn to live with it as i llike ace mod and the insane gits that use it

the one thing i will agree with dean about [ all sit down in shock lol]is some doubts that all of us must have at one time or another over certain players, one example tonight on ace mod ,on the fubar map, i shot a german from very close range [nothing new my family have been doing that since 1914 lol] he did not die, in the end he just turned around like he was almost bored, and shot me,now because of distance etc this can happen when shooting a north american, but this guy had a far higher ping than me [i am uk based so closer to the server]he knew i could not kill him. and some of the ranges these guys [there were two of them]were firing from was insane,now please note i am not a sore loser, i am crap at this game,i have a overclocked 7600 gs and 1,5 gig of ram, in a self built frankenstein of a pc,all i want to do is come on, get slaughtered and have a laugh,this sort of thing [if i am right] ruins it
