Hey 'Eustace' I'm very shy and teamspeak is a big step for a shrinking violet (English expression), my first game with my tags and I'm massacred, I'll cheer myself up with a one to one against Nacho, Ned and Sniper at the weekend - pussies!

My four current bikes, I change regularly, my SV is extensively modified for where I live as you can see, trail bars and tyres, new lighter exhaust and rear seat removed, as well as these the greatest mod has been to replace the front fork springs to progressive with heavier oil, made a massive difference to handling would recommend this to any owner.

    Hi all.
Another limey wanting to join, I need to get our tea back from that party as we are low on stocks so I'll fight you for it, I have been playing COD from the very start, I noticed my youngest son playing COD1 many years ago, said what are you doing?, and the rest as they say is history. It is actually his name I still use, I'm called David not Rob (that'll confuse Zombie) and get quite amused at some of the enquiries about the Mc, it's actually the first two letters of my Irish name, but some people have asked if I'm a member of a motorcycle club. Now motorbikes are one of my passions, but when I looked up mc on youtube I definitely aren't a 'prospect' for anything but XI, you Americans don't do things by halves do you?, we Brits must look like 'pussies'.
I have actually been coming back and forward to this server for years, mainly (this is true) to hear Beers and some of the others talk, I love your accents, but now thats been reversed as I'm from the very North of England, next to Scotland, and have a distinctive accent of my own, now your guys ask me to talk. You are a great bunch and haven't forgotten that what we do is for fun, winning is not my goal although I sometimes do, but enjoying myself is, I'll try any weapon and have been receiving expert tuition in knifing, much to the tutors distress I might say.
The bad bit is that like a lot of us I'm getting old, so you young whippersnappers remember that and don't laugh when you're quicker on the draw, your turn will come, it's also good to see a lot of ladies here it adds a lot to the community spirit which you obviously have.

    Hey RobMc!!!

Nice ride! Mines a 2008 will attach pic below. No not any Harley's for me. I agree their nice bikes but out of my price range. I have done some MODS to mine. Lowered an inch, aluminum kickstand, brought the handle bars up to not be too hunched over, along with adding cruise control which is nice when the hands go numb and finally the smoked double bubble windshield. Even though being a 650cc its no slouch. It is a V twin which a lot of folks under estimate. Then again I don't ride around like some of the douche bags nut jobs. Stick to the country roads by me. I too will stick to COD. I can only imagine the days of only having black powder. Didn't get to get online today was working, or as you put it "servitude" so maybe tomorrow. Oh no wait got to go in tomorrow too. Dammit! Oh well, will see you soon on there. Thats funny! Now that you mention it, beers does sound familiar to Eustace!...hhhhmmmmm

Hi Poop, I've got an SV650 N (among others) it may be cheap but it's a great machine, thought all you boys out there rode these huge Harleys and Indians?? do they laugh at you? Everyone I talk to on this forum is a biker, lovely machines Harleys but no good for the roads where I live. Although we're not allowed pistols at all in the UK (retards as all the criminals have them) a friend of mine is a black powder guy and I got to fire one two years ago, those who used them for real in battle were hard hard men, when you see the size of those first rifled slugs used in the Civil War you can imagine being hit by one, no thanks I'll stick to COD. I used to work for my wife too, in the UK we call it marriage, a form of slavery that hasn't been abolished yet, I'm still in servitude, I'm busy today but look forward to killing you when you get up, us Brits like to catch you all sleepy, gives us a chance, I need it, I played some of the really good players the other night, there were seven of us (I was last) and it was so intense that I came out of the game exhausted, who says we don't exercise??

I presume 'doing your twenty' means you were in the forces? don't worry about retirement, as my old Grandad used to say 'as one door shuts another door opens', lovely man my old Grandad, but a crap submarine Captain!

Right I'm off to watch Mountain Men, I still suspect that Eustace is Beers, sounds like him, North Carolina and eats roadkill, surely there can't be two???

That was your processor, the chipset is embedded in the motherboard, I suppose a simple way of thinking of it is that the processor crunches the information and the chipset distributes it, you need to know the exact chipset from your motherboard, as all else has failed this is worth a try. When reformatting the chipset driver is usually the first driver to be loaded from your motherboards cd, if its corrupt it may cause these problems, if you go to your motherboard manufacturers driver downloads see if theres a chipset one.

I'm as much at a loss as you are? its definitely a bottleneck so the only other thing I can think of other than internet or memory is the chipset driver, you've done everything else.

You're right, that message indicates a broadband problem either in the actual connection , hardware or settings, something is restricting data flow somewhere, we'll see what he says.

All the advice above is good, but don't rush it work logically and do things one step at a time, you didn't say what the result was of trying the modules singly in slot A2, I'm sure your mix of memory is not good running 2 different voltages  even if not the problem, I run on only 8gb and have no problems with gaming, try the memory tester I've used that myself and the quick check is useful.

OK, now place/view your motherboard so the memory slots are in the upper right hand corner, left to right the slots are labelled A!, A2, B1 & B2

It will only work in the following configuration :-

1 memory module - must be in A2 ONLY
2 modules - one in A2 and one in B2 ONLY
    4 modules in all four

Your modules may not be made up in 500mb blocks, i.e. for 4gb you should not have 8 squares

Now what I want you to do is ONLY LEAVE the modules in A2 & B2, i.e. take A1 & B1 out and see how it runs

You said some of them were different, use two the same

    HI LH,
Thought we had this sorted but looks like we didn't, Ram is a highly likely source of the problem as I mentioned in earlier posts, so heres what to do initially before we look at anything in the bios :-

First look at your motherboard manual and find out what and how much each slot takes, it is highly likely initially that the board was set up as dual channel in two slots and now you ain't running it

Second presuming each slot takes up to 4gb (which is likely) find out which are the 2 main slots (i.e. if you only had two sticks - manual should state this )  and pull the memory from the others, if the problem is because of running 4 slots then it should run ok, if still choppy swap out memory sticks one by one to see if you have a bad one.

Let me know as after this it gets a little trickier

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EARTHING STRAP ALWAYS EARTH YOURSELF BEFORE TOUCHING RAM, i.e. a house radiator or metal pipe to ground

Ah now we're getting there, remember what I said earlier about Ram, firstly find out the make and spec of the mremory hopefully its all the same then :-

1/. Get your motherboard manual and find out if it accepts that memory spec i.e. size, speed and frequency

2/. There will be a bit in the manual that tells you what is accepted in each memory slot, make sure you know the slot numbers from the diagram

3/. It will tell you what the settings should be in the bios, hopefully auto is selected.

4/. It may be that your previous memory was configured dual channel and these sticks won't work dual channel, especially for two pairs

Now this is a fairly complicated subject and some level of expertise is needed but not beyond anyone who treads carefully, for now only use two MATCHING sticks of memory in the slots recommended in the manual, come back after you've done this, take two sticks out. Memory gives numerous random problems and others will nod their heads when I say this, it is possible that two motherboards the same one will accept, one will reject I've had it happen a couple of times.

Firstly you need to narrow it down to 1/. Computer or 2/. Internet, i.e. does this only happen to gaming online or does it happen offline, the comments on the modem may be valid and you may want to check firmware/software.
If computer the mostly likely culprits are the ram or the video card, if you can swap these out then fine, if not then it becomes a lot more difficult, if online then try turning off background programmes one by one. I had this years ago when the ram on my bang up to date video card was incompatible with the motherboard, fixed by a (very dangerous in those days) motherboard flash.
