I gave up on the newer cod games after I had to update my firmware to play Black Ops 6 after already owning it for a year.

This has been a problem in the old server but the upper shotgun class has a issue when you put the Grip on either shotgun and change your Perk 1, eventually (shortly) the perk will revert back to Stopping Power. I try to change to Armor Piercing and notice the switch back when I get hitmarkers on enemies with body armor. This is not a problem with the lower shotgun class which is why I haven't complained sooner.

One good round tonight. Haven't figured out how to get my mic to work with OBS Studio.

I used to use the Assault Rifle AUG in the old mod with Double Tap (and a silencer), so I like this gun, especially for hipfiring. Hacker is great for awareness. I got Gambler naturally which is fitting. Can't go wrong with a .44 Mag or M32. Stun Grenades can kill people in Last Stand in the regular cod4. Haven't had a scenario against Second Chance users yet. You might be able to detonate a claymore too. Using a stun grenade to throw into buildings that have Betties or Clays can help you flush people out with your grenade or grenade launcher. Stuns can also be used for direct impact kills.

Someone recently had said that Cod4x was standard but at the time I was using an iw3mp.exe that was for 1.7, not Cod4x. @YACCsterare you playing on 1.7 for Mac and can't connect to the new server? I'm trying to understand if you can substitute an iw3mp.exe or if Cod4x is more than that.

I joined the MW2 server and went to spectator today and after a few seconds I see this error and then the server crashed. It was on the broadcast2 map. What is this?

Fall on that and you lose all your killstreaks while a server-wide laugh is played.

Since I was rudely awakened this morning, I had the time to mess around with a random number generator to generate a class to mess around with. Take it or leave it if you want to have some fun. P90 No attachment P99 Slienced Flashbang Frag Grenade Inventory is M32 MGL x 2 Perk 1 is Double Tap Perk 2 is Dead Silence Perk 3 is Ballistic Armor Killstreak 1 is RC-XD Killstreak 2 is Care Package Killstreak 3 is X-47 Pegasus (AGM) This class isn't so bad.

@iboomboomDid you add idle sway to the .44 Mag or change anything with the weapons? I haven't been following along. I had two narrow angles to defrost tonight and the defrost appeared to be interrupted by idle sway. I also noticed that my grey smoke grenade hid friendly tags which also stopped me from defrosting. Sometimes standing in smoke is a safe way to defrost.

This is my third and greatest laptop as far as capability but I still use an old config that I save for when I have to install the game again. At minimum, Cod4x is "shiny" compared to what I see normally. After playing for a while, my eyes were sore when they normally are not. I must have had Cod4x in the past because my profiles were different too. I'm not using Cod4x but there seems to have been an update to the server today. My eyes are fine.

This might be a dumb question but do you need Cod4x to play on this new server? I used to have it but it hurt my eyes. Gameplay was also worse for freezetag. Have you shared the IP address?

I had an ungraceful exit from XI back in 2020 I'd like to apologize for. I suffer from Bipolar Disorder and I was experiencing mania for the first time and rage quit spectacularly over minor things like a new shotgun in the latest mod at the time. I'm doing much better now. This is a great community and a member reached out to me recently to see how I am doing, so I wanted to send this message.

I understand. The comment came from someone who I have played with or against for two years. He hadn't said anything until that point. I had been using a new kind of gun that is amazing and I got really good with it. A couple days earlier, a random person I did not know told me to kill myself and I laughed at it. Couple that with the Heist perk. I have never played a game that punishes you for playing the objective. Everything else aside, I couldn't understand it. If the perk required you to get a knife kill to steal the killstreak instantly, it would make it balanced. I see the anti-heist addition Sammy made and I thought that my options now, in order to not feed the enemy team free killstreaks was to only use the anti-heist perk or unbind all three killstreaks and use none because inevitably I would die for playing the objective and give away a killstreak that I might have been saving for the best moment to help my team, not theirs. Some of my posts and opinions and comparisons may have sounded outrageous, but it all came from painful experiences I've had in real life. Experiences I did not want to be reminded of. Obviously no one is forcing me to play on the new mod. I had high hopes though because these mods don't come around that often. I had gotten bored of the old mod and had spent more time the last few years playing other games, mostly without any other XI players. I was hoping this mod would better than any mod I've played, that would bring me back to play here more often. I can't take what people say too seriously if the person doesn't actually know me. I had tolerated it for years but hit a boiling point. @ANGU5 I wish you, @Gatorgirl and your son the best of luck in the future. I'm sorry I made a fool out of myself.

Thank you. This makes me feel a little better. I am having a hard time getting over the grief I feel right now, but it takes me a while to get over things that I care about.

I do not seek your sympathy, specifically. You can walk away from that comment because it meant nothing to you. However, sometimes these forums are used as an outlet for sympathy. You wouldn't say that to someone if they made a post about a loved one passing away. I am not comparing my situation to that, nor am I using my sister for sympathy. I used it as an example of how I feel. I do love playing CoD4, but not anymore. That is why I am complaining. I am giving up on a game I have played for years that I have worked hard to get better at. I enjoy good competition, win or lose. I do not enjoy toxic people, and as a whole, the server has gotten worse. 99 times out of 100 you hear fuck you instead of nice shot. Have I been emotional the last couple days? Yes. I am in disbelief and I thought it I hung around long enough I could get an apology before I am gone. One last walk around the building.

I appreciate the work Sammy has done to add an anti-Heist capabilty to the server. Although, there is still a compromise that is hard to deal with that is not worth the frustration to me, and it is my choice to just walk away. It still bothers me that a perk like that can exist. How a defenseless person can be taken advantage of by a greedy person. It irks me for a different reason. I have a little sister with special needs whose life has not been easy.
