Woot!
We don't have to invest a lot of time.
Depends on how you wanna play.

Ooh...they're introducing new terrain, mini monument & bringing back God rocks next wipe.
As a solo, I generally keep 5 1X2 & 2X2 bases spread across the map, with about 5 external tc's near each.
It's minimal maintenance & discourages even ESP cheats from fucking with my shit, because they know it's not worth the time & boom cost.
I play on Rustoria U.S. Long. They do a pretty good job of keeping the cheats out.
It can be pretty hectic the first week with a population around 500 & a handful of Zergs battling. As a rule, they leave the small guys alone unless you piss them off; they're busy controlling an area & working to wipe the other zergs. They're usually done fucking with each other after the first week & move to another server with a fresh wipe.
Funny story: This wipe, I build my main base in the corner of the map near Giant Excavator, figuring it would be reasonably quiet, as it's a low-value monument. Logged in the next day to find a zerg had walled-off the monument with my base stuck inside, even though I built one square away. Turns out I was nice to the leader of the group while bullshitting around at Outpost & he gave me guest codes to a couple of the gates so I could get in & out. Was really quiet at that base, and my base remained even as I logged in at the end of that first week to find they had been wiped by another zerg.
After that 1st week it stays around 200 population for a couple weeks...then dies off to about 70 pop the last week.
Anyway, force wipe is 2pm EST on the first Thursday of the month. New map, new features, & blueprint wipe.
So, in 5 days...3rd of October.
