Fun Fact: 0.0007% of Americans were sampled for that "study". Which Americans were sampled? Who knows! They could easily find that many hobos in any town.

    People only think mac is better for photo+video because macs got a great start in the 'hipster-art-student' market. Lots of art schools have macs in etc... But all those products ( the adobe master suite mostly) are equally available on PC.

They apparently havent even finished building their first one though. Also an interesting note... The article says that he's still going to need towers with fiber run to them.

    The tech is good... but until more people use it, it's still outrageously expensive. Even if you are in an ideal city, putting solar panels on your house is stupid. They won't pay themselves off for 20 years.

    Oops. Missed that lol. I was curious about the solar panels. It turns out that if you are willing to pay a shit-ton of money you can get panels that approach 50% efficiency. Only worth it though if you can control your angle to the sun. The power they get on the spacestation must be fantastic compared to budget panels at sealevel.

    That pretty much solves it then. I don't buy the "lets help Africa", it's more like there is massive ad-rev potential there. Aahh. Good point. I hadn't even thought of filling in holes in satalite coverage. If they can fly them high enough without interfearing in airtraffic, that would be very effective. The uav company specializes in solar powered uavs so i would doubt flying them over the clouds.
