I guess I'm the exception, I like the small, crowded maps. They are exciting and filled with constant action. To me this is better than a bunch of people room camping and shooting me in the back as a run by. For as many people that complain about the small maps, there's a larger number that seem to vote for them.....so maybe I'm not the exception.

Noooooo....DM is the only way to go! I hate all the other COD modes. All it does is make most people campers. For me the main appeal is the high intensity action where you shoot anything that moves. If anything is going to change, I'd say dump the current mod. My long time friend coded the best mod ever for COD2. We worked on it for months....it's vastly superior to anything out there.

Same here in Denmark... The Police will show up within 14 days after your insurance runs out and take your licence plates, and a couple of days after that they will pound the car if its on a public street without plates. Not a perfect system but it works.... Oh and sorry about your truck.... Does this meen that you have to pay??? I like that law! Insurance is required in Ohio but there's tons of people that don't have it still. Over the years I've been hit by 3 different lamers with no insurance and know another 20+ stories of friends and family hit but these kind of bastards. My insurance covered me minus my $250 deductible. I bought a new SUV a few days later. It's a 2006 Explorer Limited loaded up. I need something that can haul 6-7 people and my dog for hiking trips. Winters here get pretty nasty too so I need something that can handle it.

Actually, I've played the XI servers for YEARS, but using a different name. Jez, it seem like it was about 5-6 years ago! Fuck, I'm old as shit. LMAO HAHAHAHA @ Robotron! The best arcade game EVER! I turned one over like 5 times on a single quarter. LMAO I think I might have a few screenshots from Q3 around.....need to go diggin...brings back the memories!

Not sure if you're a member of the forums, but PLEASE stop saying I cheat on the server. I've been playing online games since Quake2 and have NEVER used a cheat. I've played competitively on ladders for years and was one of the top ranked Quake3 players on a top ranked team.....I really hate to boast, but I'm a pretty damn good fragger. Most of the XI members and players know me quite well and have shot me in the back a thousand times when I didn't see them. They have also seen me dominate maps with NO WALLS. I will add that I've run and admin'd many servers in my life and I absolutely HATE cheaters. Hours of my life have been devoted to dealing with them in competition and on casual servers over the past 15 years.. I'm the biggest anti-cheat gamer you will EVER meet. Cheating has nearly ruined gaming and nearly driven me away from playing online but, thankfully, there are still a few good servers to play on like XI. Finally - The map you were specing me on (the map where you spawn stuck inside a bush) is small and you CAN kill people by shooting through the bushes. If I hear someone making noise, either rattling the bushes or shooting, or I catch a glimpse of muzzle flash, you can bet your ass that I'm going to try to kill them without ever seeing them. You can also count on me shooting randomly through the bushes and tossing random nades praying for a lucky frag. I can understand that a noob player could construe this as using a wallhack so you apparently fall into that category. My advice to you is to actually LEARN how to identify a wallhack (and an aimbot) cheater before you open your piehole. You may also want to spec me for a few hours, perhaps you'll learn a thing or two.....one thing you'll definately learn, is that I am NOT cheating.

My Moutaineer was totalled. It may not look bad, but it was a LOT worse than it looked. He never even hit the brakes! LOL....yea, he's a piece of dung. Cops said he had just plead guilty to DUI in Indiana 2 weeks before. Believe me, I gave him the fatherly lecture about alcohol and how he could have killed someone like a little kid on a bike. Of course, he left in handcuffs....hell, we had 3 cop cars at one point!

They are actually worth a few bucks now. I was looking around last year for the hell of it and the collectors all want one. A good, working system with games can bring $300-500.

I was just at my older brother's house in Knoxville over the weekend I think I got him hooked your COD2 server. My brother Mark is 54 years old and has been playing online FPS's for over 15 years with me all the way back to Quake. If you see him, please give him a warm welcome. He uses the name ColdSore and sometimes IPYellow. I was telling him how great of a server you all have and that most of you are also "older" guys. He got on late last night and played several maps while I explained the mod. Oddly, during the night, a couple of wallhackers/botters joined the server and were promptly expelled by the admins. This is why the XI server is so AWESOME! He was happy to see the admins quickly identified the cheaters and banned them. YAY!

This isn't a "permanent" change, just for a map or two. g_gravity will automatically reset to the default 800 on the next map. However, g_ speed requires sending the command back to the server. It's really not complicated to change these settings. Just hit ~ to bring down the console, log in as admin and issue the command via the in-game console. I've done it thousands of times....it's a BLAST. The best settings for this for fun: g_gravity 28 - Just enough to let you float and you'll still come down eventually. When I was feeling evil, I'd set gravity to -100, let everyone float up, then change it back to 800 to watch EVERYONE on the map die. LOL The reaction from the clueless was priceless! g_speed 450 - You can absolutely haulass around the map. The defaut is 190, I generally ran my servers at 210 default to speed-up the game play a little. Plus the campers HATED it because you actually have to move around the map to get frags and you're harder to hit.

Yea, the world is going to end, just like in Y2K. LOLOLOL
