Hey Billy....I estimate my monthly cost of vaping to me about $15-20 max. I used to smoke about a pack or more a day....which was SUBSTANTIALLY more expensive. PS - Pelosi is a psychotic bitch.

These gun buybacks are the DUMMEST thing ever and a complete waste of taxpayer money....something our suckass gov is great at. The last one I read about had about 10 dealers waiting at their door step with absolute garbage to take in $250 per, Every gun they sold tot he cops was junk. It's really a shame a tragedy like this has to bring out the ignorant with their soapboxes. Gun control is worthless except for keeping honest, law abiding citizens from being able to protect themselves. I can go on Craigslist and have a gun in my hand within an hour, no paperwork, no background check, no BS. The worst part of all this shit is that now I'll have to listen to a bunch of screaming numbnutz like Pelosi and Reid (now our POS VP) spewing their liberal bullshit. All because of one punkass psychopath.

That's not true. I admin about 50 XP computers at work and all of them are fully updated. MS is continuing to support and patch XP until sometime in 2014. For the OP, you ONLY need to install XP SP3. All of the SP1/2 updates are included in SP3. Did you active your copy of Windows? The problems you're having are usually because: 1) you have not activated your copy 2) you need to have at least SP3 installed and 3) you need to have IE8 installed. The first thing you need to do is install SP3 and then IE8. After that the patching goes without a hitch. I do it all the time.

Any Date On A Pay-Your-Respects Tourney..?
Xtreme replied to WHITEBOY's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
What's the deal with this? Is it for XI members only? Back in the day I participated in a lot of LMS (Last Man Standing) competitions. FUN SHIT! -
As much as they have bastardized COD, it's amazing that all the old Quake commands and settings persist. BTW - most of the stuff in that post is junk. The single biggest effect on ping client side is your data rate which should be set to the highest level, I think it's 25000. I believe most games default to the "cable" setting anyway and that will make it 25k.
-
One thing I can never complain about....I usually ping between 5 and 15 ms or so to the COD2 server.

Congrats! You've seen the light! Just make sure you keep your nic level up and you'll never want to smoke again. Be sure you have enough spare PV's, juice, and atomizers/cartomizers so you don't get put out of business. I was on and off smoking the first month due to various technical problems. The cost will get less and less as you move along.....and not buying cigs constantly will help with that.

One Of My Dogs Is Very Ill And Looks Like He Will Not Get Better
Xtreme replied to baldie's topic in General Discussion
Whoa....that REALLY bites man. Especially on a 2 YO dog. I'm a dog lover too. Best wishes for you and your dog. I have a yellow lab. Here's a picture when she was a puppy, she's 6 now. -
Nice system....but you left out the biggest bottleneck in computing....the hard drive. With Z77 the best "bang for the buck" comes from using either an SSD for the OS or using RST with SSD caching. This is where real performance comes from.

All i7 CPU's are quad core with hyperthreading.

Tobacco flavors were fine for me at first to help the transition to vaping. I was trying very hard to replicate the flavor of a Winston Light and I was pretty close. However, they tended to gunk up my atomizers quickly which reduces vapor production. I vaped various tobacco flavors for about 6 months until I figured out I actually liked other flavors better. The past few months I've been hooked on BWB Vanilla....yum....tastes good and, if anyone gets a whiff, smells good.
-
I vape Backwoods Brew exclusively. I buy the 24 mg flavors (prefer vanilla and green apple recently) and use PG/VG to dilute it down to about 18 mg. Tastes great and save me $$$. I recommend you guys buy a real PV. The difference between an APV and those ego type PV's is like night and day. My Zenesis is an incredible PV and well worth the upfront costs. Personally, I cannot stand cartomizers and clearomizers. They work OK but they taste strange and don't produce enough vapor for me. And, if you guys don't know about it, a good place to learn about ecigs, mods and APV's is ECF: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/
-
I quit over 2 years ago and switched to electronics. I have quite a few high end APV's. I primarily use a MonkeyBoxx VV but also have a Zenesis and a Vapage XL. I smoked for 32 years and tried EVERYTHING to quit, you name it and it didn't work for me. Ecigs were the ticket, I have no desire to smoke ever again!

I do not agree. If you overclock correctly, you find a safe stable place for your processor to run, and crashing just doesn't happen. If you get memory timing wrong - crash. Set voltages wrong - crash. Use the clock multipliers wrong - crash. Go too far - crash. Do it right - purrs like a kitten in overdrive. Some people don't know how to do it. They give overclocking a bad name. I worked with an Intel Beta Tester to tune my i7. It works flawlessly at 4.2GHz, up about a 27% OC from its native 3.07GHz. That' is the TRUTH. The problem today is that overclocking was made "too easy". The thing is, most people ocing today have no clue what they're doing, i.e. simply changing a multiplier. It's not like the old days where we had to move jumpers around and tweek the BIOS settings endlessly until we had the right balance. If overclocking is done right, a system will live just as long as a non-oc'd system and be 100% stable. For me, this dates all the way back to the original 486 CPU's......that's when OCing really came alive.
-
I've have overclocked nearly every computer I've built over the years. The need to OC all depends on what you use your PC for. For me, it produces tangible benefits in the distributed computing projects I'm involved with. Also, things like video encoding see an improvement. In terms of gaming, the benefits are less if you have a modern PC. Most games today are not CPU constrained.

Connection Issues Need Some Advice On Ipv4 Connectivity
Xtreme replied to Sweatnbullets's topic in Computer Help
On another note, in IE disable any add-ons you don't need. When I work on customer systems there's usually far too many add ons running and simply disabling the ones not needed makes a WORLD of difference in browser performance. -
Connection Issues Need Some Advice On Ipv4 Connectivity
Xtreme replied to Sweatnbullets's topic in Computer Help
Great post and dead on. The protocol doesn't really matter and chances are your ISP isn't even using IPV6. As Demmer said, the your problem has nothing to do with IPV6 vs 4. In fact, you can probably uninstall the IPV6 support in Windows with no ill effect. More than likely your problem has to do with your router. I've thrown away more of them than I can remember due to them all out dying or just becoming flakey. Plug your PC directly into the "modem" and see if the problem goes away. -
Are your games choppy, i.e. low fps? If not, who cares about processor usage.....it's ALL about the game play. As the others have mentioned, the PCIE slots are dominated by the 16x slot. Personally, I don't believe in using SLI or Crossfire. It was invented to sell more video cards. Yes, it is faster, for awhile, then they introduce a new single card solution that is faster 6 months down the road.

Map List Cod2 Dm
Xtreme replied to PimpedOutPete's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
That's actually a great idea. I know that there are some who hate spawn protection but on those maps it would quickly do away with the spawn raping. Spawn protection wouldn't do any good. People will just spawn rape at the exit to a spawn point. HAHAHAHA....and you're definately guilty of that with your trips and mines on the spawn points. You fragged me about a 100 times with those planted within 2 steps of the spawn points. Extreme, in case you missed the post on this subject a few weeks ago, there is no way a trip wire or mine can be placed directly on a spawn spot, and as long as you aren't tripping the only exit from a spawn spot it is perfectly acceptable. I also wouldn't complain too much about spawn raping. 99% of the time when I get shot as I spawn it's by you, which is probably part of the reason you win every single map when you play. LMAO I didn't say you put them ON the spawn point, you put them 2-3 steps away at the minimum distance it will let you. I don't win every single map. How do I win the big open maps if I'm so dependent on spawn raping? I'll tell you my secret....because I'm one of the few not camping. So says the man who camps on top of the crates on the world cup shottie map and bashes people as they spawn right in front of him. Remember who you're talking to here Xtreme. We see how you play. Ahhhh....that map IS all about spawn killing. I like it when there's at least 10 people on that map....fun shit. -

Good guess, I gave it to my son years ago. Funny thing, I did a lot of camping and rock climbing back in the day. Now it's just day trips with the family to awesome places like Red River Gorge. As I've aged I've found hiking to be a much safer passtime and I don't like sleeping on the ground. I'm more apt to rent a hotel room these days if I'm staying somewhere. LOL -
