Great decision @@Ruggerxi! We certainly have the best Admin team in the game. No stress, just make a call that works for all members. Good one. Now that we are not streaming pb banns "until they get their shit fixed", which could be never... so now it is time for the admin team to get up and do their job of policing our servers. Not that we were not before, but now it becomes a bit more challenging. So we cannot rely on pbbans to detect active cheats, but we can still go to their website to check non members if they have any pbbans right? or do we just ignore pb them period? Or do we enforce all pbbanns except the VIOLATION (AIMBOT) 50710? Need a bit more direction on how we are going to procede... perhaps a thread in the admin portal on protocol on how we are going forward with this exception and the repercussions it may have since we are no longer streaming punk busters. OH! and WB @@JohnnyQuest! & @@Rascal glad things worked out for you, and everyone else!

Great topic Damage! And yes from me too... the system in Canada is not perfect, but it's free to everyone. Some started talking user fees a while back and that got killed even before it had a chance. We Love our Health care system, but there is one thing we love better ... and that we love to BITCH about how un-perfect it is. Nothing in this world is perfect. That's never gonna happen. but we in Canada do believe free health care is a right. No matter what income. I got hurt at work a while ago, and i was on what we call workmen's compensation (another great Canadian Social Program which paid me approx. 90% of my wages while off work, and all my medication, my doctor/hospital bills were all taken care of. They actually also paid to get me into one of our "privately run" clinics, where they operated on me, and I was released the same day. That whole process took about 3-4 weeks. They didn't want me sitting around needlessly at home waiting to get surgery instead they paid to have me jump the cue... interesting description someone here gave is that they "co-exist" and do not compete. In Vancouver we are a fairly international city, with many who are rich visitors, and they all access the "private" clinics, as they are less congested, and cost approx. the same or a bit more. rip do not delete anything, let them do their thing and we will see what comes of it... i know you are all pissed and rightly so if your not cheating... i would be pissed too... but please be patient and lets see what they come up with. After they (PB) post their final decision i am sure the seniors will let us know what is going on and how we are going to handle it all. for not patience is the key.

The reason xfire is a requirement is for this very reason. admins are required to be on xfire so you can reach us if you need us right away. all I can say is in the least use xfire to contact us if there is a problem. Posting on the website may or may not get an admins attention. We are on xfire and many of us also in ts.

this would be the one single thing that could take down the gaming industry. There needs to be more competition in cheat detection. as its obvious we cannot trust PB, and they really don't care if they have false positives. not bad... even premium is still being offered... even after the last expansion pack has been released. Always best to go for the full premium limited edition... you get all the maps and upgrades.... if you get the 10$ one it will not have any of the expansion packs and will cost more to upgrade than just buying premium.

At this point, all I can say is 'Enter at your own risk'. We have no control over Punkbuster, as far as what it bans for. If you go into a PB enabled server at this point, you are risking being '50710' banned. Even those who are buying new CD keys are taking the risk of losing the new key as well. As far as risk goes, it seems to be pretty slim. Out of well above 13 million units sold up to 2009 (that is across all platforms and the latest stats I can find.. you know it's way above that by now), and only a few 100 or so bans in this recent rash, so far, it's not very likely that it will happen to you. BUT, tell that to the poor bastards on here that have gotten banned. I am truly sorry this is happening. I sincerely hope that Evenbalance will clear this up quickly. Thanks Bama, I uninstalled COD4 Yesterday from my ssd drive and was going to put it on my terrabyte drive, but i think i will hold off for now... is this problem only affecting cod4 players or is it across all our servers that have PB enabled? Cause I got to get my cod 5 reinstalled as I also had to remove it from my SSD drive and move it to my Terrabyte drive to make room for BF3 update. I play BF3 and it had that dreaded TS3 overlay... that some are saying can be picked up as a hack by PB... anyone else have any other info on this?
