crackxi he wasnt runnin into the video card only off his mb..vga is what he has...i told him too get a dvi cord and disable his on board...hopefully that works. the cord was 30 bucks and im not sure on the pin config....different from card to monitor...pins above and below horizontal flatpin. ALso, until i'm sure my pci(or PCIe) slot is working, im not getting that new hardware detected post at startup, but if all is good i'll spend the dough if need be.....

Graffitti >XI< 1 - Uninstall all existing drivers 2 - boot your windows in safe mode (by pressing F10, but might be another F key 3 - look in controllpannel if ALL nvidia-shit has effectively been removed (UNINSTALL PROGRAMS!!!!!) 4 - start windows, wich should startup normally now, but in 800 * 600 VGA mode, with the standard windows vga-driver. -DON NOT USE THE "Would you like Windows to find the appropriate driver vor you" ABORT the windows automatic setup process* 5 - now re-install latest NVIDIA driver 6 - Reboot.... Hope this is of any help, running NVidia since years, 580 GTX at this time, never had problem. Sorry for the eventual bad translations, I'm running a french version of W7... before i do that how can i be sure my pci slot is working properly. At no time have i had a "new hardware detected message" and if i do a device manger "new hardware search" nothing comes up. I have manually updated my pci list of shit in the device manager as well. Any more thought s would be great before i pull out what little hair i have left!!!!!!!!

finished my install of new psu and vid card and am proud to say both were successful...yeah my shit is running...however...when trying to install the vid card with the disc i keep getting the message "the graphics adapter installed in the system is not compatible with the current set of drivers"...so i go to nvidia and download the driver..twice. still get the message and...as an extra added bonus i get at the bottom of the install screen.... installed graphics adapter-not found. Any ideas folks????????

i may be gone a few..at least from gaming because i got my PSU and am gonna attempt replacement of it and my vid card tomorrow. Hopefully being an idiot won't make me too stoopid and i will survive it. If things go awry i'll post on the site via the wife's computer. Wish me luck..................................!!!!!!!

well, i finally decided and purchased my power supply. after much research and consideration ( and a bit of trepidation) i settled on this... pc power and cooling/silencer/750 watt/quad pci express/SATA ready/80 plus. Should be here in a few days....then i test my anti idiot hack to see if i can self install power supply and vid card. I just wish i was smart enough to post a pic...not that it matters. It doesnt look fancy with the dual fans an nice sleek box or nothing...looks standard but i think has the guts (and same fan config for my store bought unit) so wish me luck when the day arrives to test my skill and resolve. Thx again to all who responded to keep me straight.

just a random post here....i've been noticing all the new sigs and i have to say that the artwork is da friggin' bomb!!!!!I note the difference in artistic takes from one to the other and must say that the work is truly impressive. I like the fact that for most of the sigs coming from either Arrien or Judge that it is so easy to see who did what.. Great job guys and keep up the nice work.
