So, Today was the first day of Gun season here in the people's republic of Maryland. I got out of bed @ 0300 and was at the hunting property @ 0420. In the woods and in a tree @ 0530. The temp... a warm 25F. This is what hunting is all about. So there I sat, 0635 Dawn. And Sat 0700, and sat 0800, and you get the point... I finally gave up for the day at 1100. Apparently, I choose poorly! So after 5.5 hours of FREEZING my NUTS OFF!!! I got Zilch! What a start to the first day of Gun Season. That's ok IT IS ON BAMBI! I will be back in the Hollow on FRIDAY and Damn it, its time to fill the FREEZER!!! Did anyone else enjoy Frozen Nuts?

Hello Fellow idots. I'm still pretty new to the clan, but wanted to let everyone know that my father-in-law died last night after a year long battle with stomach cancer. He was a good man, father, friend, and teacher! I hope now he is at peace and can carry on in his journey! On a side note, if there are any Campers (RV, Tent, Travel Trailers) who come through northern Maryland, the Antietam/Hagerstown KOA has earned my business. When we told them last night that we needed to check out early because of a family emergency (and gave them the reason) they refunded the night we were unable to stay and should genuine sympathy! Just wanted to get it out a little. See ya.
