Yea, everything sound related is set, microphone is plugged in, no issues with that. It's just wierd that my buddy and I both have this issue connecting to our servers.

^Yea, I did the legacy PB update, no issues there. I also did the file swap that's required to get server list to work on the Steam version, and XI doesn't even show up in the server listing. Like I said, I can connect, download maps and mods, but as soon as the mod is done downloading, it closes the game. And Gator, you're just scared...which is why I havent seen you in CoD5 recently... lol

Alright, so I finally got CoD4 on steam again, and now any time I connect to an XI server, it downloads the mods, but when that's complete and it should connect to the maps, it crashes the game...no errors, just closes to the game. When I go on stock servers I have no issues. Deleted the mods several times as well as any other mods in there and redownloaded on connect, same issue. Ideas/solutions`?

I would be down for a Bolt, tactical, whatever...as long as its team based, hardcore, and above all, larger map selection than VFT server.

Get rid of the OW mods that is restricting the map count, that's my biggest complaint...I could care less about modern weapons, just give us a hardcore team game server with a larger variety of maps! Redline is awesome, except the map sizes are still sometimes an issue, the mod is HUGE which deters new players, and the map selection is still so small it gets old quick as well.

Well just because it hasn't worked in the past, doesn't mean it wouldn't work now. I mean the Modern Warfare server pretty much sits empty...it appears that has failed...why not try something different and see if it works now? All you need is a hardcore mode, same map rotation from the DM server, and minimal maintenance. I just don't think 'it didn't work in the past' is valid reason not to try again when donations are going to waste on servers that are sitting empty anyways.

Right now we have the VFT server, 2 DM Custom Map servers, modern Weapons and a Redline server. I've seen very little use of the Modern Weapons server as well as the 2nd DM server and I was wondering if we could get one of them switched to a Hardcore custom map server (similar to VFT minus the freezetag) and with a different mod. The reason I say this is because everyone seems to be getting tired of the maps that are in our current VFT server due to the Open Warfare mod but don't want to play deathmatch. Having another server that has team based games (TDM, CTF, DOM, etc) but with similar performance of the weapons on the VFT (IMO the weapons on DM servers suck...probably because they are not set as hardcore) and the ability to add maps that can be found on the DM server and not on the VFT server would be awesome. Just my recommendation....thoughts?

I would highly recommend the Samsung Galaxy Note 4...or the 4 Edge if you want to get fancy. Superior to most other phones of comparable size. I've had the Note 3 for over a year now and absolutely love it. I've pre-ordered the iPhone 6+ for myself and the 6 for my wife just to give it a try (I'm on T-Mobile, so with Jump it didn't cost anything) mainly for the Apple Pay feature as well as Facetime with the wife. If Google Wallet or Isis were actually worth installing, I would never get another OS...lol. But I figure in 6 months or so Samsung will announce the Galaxy S6, and will most likely switch back at that point.

Okay, sound good. I absolutely do not agree with the decision, but I respect it. I just find it amusing how rooftops that were not intended to be climbed onto are ok, but in a bush at the edge of the map is not....but hey, that's why I'm not, and probably won't be an admin...lol.

I don't consider it cheating unless it is advantageous. I don't consider it outside the map unless he's outside the solid bush where you cannot see through and/or in 'white' area outside the map. The instances such as in an attic with see through floors, or a tree trunk/statue are advantageous as you absolutely cannot be seen and have an unobstructed view through walls, floors, etc. and should therefor not be allowed. At the end of the day it's all about fun. Obvious cheating, and glitching such as the statue, see-through attics, under the map, etc are clearly not acceptable because they are advantageous. I myself would not go to that position, however I have no issue if others do because it is inside the boundaries of the visible map edge, is not advantageous, and as soon as everyone knows about it you'll have more people trying to get there and everyone will start knowing to look there to shoot them. It's the same when someone finds a new roof to climb on that someone previously didn't know about...everyone cries foul, or at least thinks it, but then you get to know people go there and you know where to look/shoot in the future and it's acceptable. Just because it is inside of the lateral playable map confines, doesn't mean it was intended to be accessible by the map maker, and therefor is outside of the vertical confines of the playable area, making it the exact same situation...but in that case it's ok? If you look at the map as a 3d playable area, you'll realize jumping on a roof that isn't supposed to be accessible is exactly the same as being outside the playable area laterally...as long as you are not in an advantageous position. I know plenty of you disagree with me, but unless it is advantageous, I stand by my stance that it should be fair game.

In my opinion, this is no different then going on a roof or anywhere else the map makers did not intend for people to go. Yes, you can go behind the 'solid' bush to where you can go under the map, but you can do that on others as well, for instance the map with the church tower/bell that has the stooges noise when shot you can fall under the map when jumping on the wall/railing to get to the roof on the North side. In that case it is perfectly acceptable as long as you dont go off the map and stay in a non-advantageous position. For this situation, as long as he is in an area that can be seen/shot and inside of the 'solid' bush wall, that should be fine. Using the argument of him being in a bush where you cant see them unless there's a muzzle flash is not valid because that can hold true for any bush...this just happens to be in an area that is not typically looked at.

IMO, if he can be seen/shot, its not advantageous. He did not go 'through a solid object' as was pointed out to me the last week, and climbing/jumping to get somewhere is alright...not defending him, just highlighting the discrepancies in what is and is not considered 'acceptable' to admins.
