usally they come unformatted, would need the manufactors software to format it. CAUTION, before any formatting you need to know what DRIVE letter using, before using it, so NOT to wipe another drive that you are using. if get the manufactors software it should find it -

gee Senzei i waited for 1.5 Hr in TS, the dowmload is for maps and mods in the game but for inside steam say no for auto updates. good to hear you got it sortted out, sorry can't play for someone walked off with my game disk & key. -

join the cod4 club you will see what version XI is running i know is not same as steam and version has to be same to play multiplayer. other back up you game profile C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty - modern warfare(cod4) \profiles note for cd version for steam need to look in their folders PB note: when install game/patches run as admin for each update also by right-click mouse and select run as admin for each .EXE other mod.
