I've dug through Lori's recipe books. Made her meatloaf for my mother in law & aunts. Picked rhubarb on our place and made rhubarb crisp for family & friends. Just made a six avacado guacamole to take to a fish fry tonight. It helps me, sort of. Dunno Rip, I don't have any answers, you have to blunder through this your own way.

Don't worry Nummy, keeping a spread sheet open tallying cost. Two complete heads, full galley, two cabins, countertops, cabinets, holding tanks & plumbing. Wiring, electrical panels, and engine controls, along with nav gear, sonar, radar, and helm control. Not to mention two masts, all the rigging and sails, windless, chains, anchors and ground tackle. She ain't gonna be for the faint of heart to finish. If I do it, cutting ties to shore, and fitting her out as a live aboard. This means camping @ sea, and doing your laundry when you swing into a marina.

Howdy ya'll, blew through my 3000 wishing ldoz & Olive happy birthday. Here's some pix of a project I'm contemplating taking on. Don loaned me the blueprints & build sheets, and I have been pouring over them for the last few weeks. Right now, with all the turmoil in my life, heading for the gulf & hoisting sail for the keys sounds like an adventure worth doing. She's a Bruce Roberts 43' ketch, center cockpit. Don Haas is in his eighties now, and he can't finish her. He's tickled pink that I'm looking at his project, and he's been through the same loss I have. I dunno, looks like a couple years worth of completion, at least as much work as finishing a house. We'll see.

Another visitation & funeral today. Pray for my liver, we're sending off a Brophy, and the Prendervilles, Mossholders, Faynes, and Brophy's will all be toasting. The Brandaus aren't shy about knocking back libations either. Really though, this sums up how I feel right now.

She had to endure the death of Lori, Dean, and her brother Herb while bedridden and helpless. Kathy called me last night and gave me the news, because I stayed home to mow the yard.
