I'd like to tell my >XI< friends something personal. My wonderful Wife passed away at home Tuesday morning, with her mother Patricia and I holding her hands long after she died. It was an experience that can only be acknowledged by those who have gone through it. Most certainly it has affected Pat & I, and we will never be alone, for the host have honored us. Pat says we were awake for 38 hours straight, can't say she's wrong, because I didn't notice.
I've enclosed a copy of the obituary, penned by Lori's sisters Carla & Lynn, and our nieces Brigitte & Kailey. Can't describe the avalanche of events that took place in the last three weeks, too much happened. Our decision to bring Lori home from UW Madison was made after no reasonable hope was offered by the teams of doctors tasked with her care. Hospice of St. Margarets brought their girl home, and we were swarmed with visitors for the last ten days.
I thank BlackBart for his support, and for the well wishes and prayers offered on the thread he posted. For myself, this was a storm that couldn't be avoided. Back wind the foresail, reef the main, and put the helm hard over. All that could be done has been done, time to trust to providence, and ride the fury hove-to and battened.
