I broke some ribs, so I "feel" you pain. I remember I had to sleep sitting up. However, the absolute worst pain I have had by far is a kidney stone. That is truly debilitating, and I have had a broken nose, broken leg and ankle, appendicitis, and numerous dislocated shoulders.

Harry, I've been in your boat regarding the pain killers and constipation. Firstly, the hydrocordone will only give 4 hours relief if you are in a lot of pain. If you are not at the max dosage, ask for a higher one. I can remember setting my alarm clock to go off before the 4 hours so I could take another one and keep the pain down. Second, try an over the counter stool softener. Might help. If that is no good try Fleet suppository they work pretty good. Drink a lot of water also if you haven't gone in a while! Trust me on that! I learned all this from my first kidney stone, and from my mom who was a 50 year ER nurse. Good luck.

I am moving into my new house. So lots of unpacking. Unsurprisingly for me, I am finding stuff I haven't seen in years/decades. Here is a little gem I just found. Had to dust it off. The silver box is the adapter which had to be screwed onto leads on the back of the tv. You then had to select TV or Ant (antenna) to watch TV, or Game to play. Damn I am old now! This is circa 1975 or 1976.
