1. You should only ever be using one GUID to play - if you use multiple aliases they will still be linked to that one GUID so therefore only one link is required. If you use multiple GUID's you should only link your primary one. 2. Links are done to in-game accounts and you will have separate in-game accounts per game. The accounts are identified by GUID's and as such are not cross game compatible. Each game has a data repository and only contains accounts from that game type.

I will update the code later, seems to be an issue with searching for names with spaces in them This is replacing the old method, I used to manage the accounts manually which was wasting lots of my time. If you are a member and you link your account then your in-game account will then be able to use the !fu command. There is currently no method to manually link players, you will have to wait until I have created it. It is not 'necessary' unless you use the member perks such as the !fu command, currently there are only a few perks that this link allows you do do as most are administrator related. Once this link is established it opens the ability for us to be able to provide more features and perks to players and members. In the near future we will be limiting all commands to people who have registered on the forums and linked their accounts. So commands such as !like and !dislike (MW2 Ftag Only) will only be able to be used by players that have registered and by doing so are showing an active interest in the community rather than just one time players.

Evenbalance no longer supports Call of Duty 4. This does not mean we will be removing Punkbuster - it is still a viable admin tool which provides us with many methods of protecting our servers. It does mean that if you reinstall then the standard PBSetup will be unable to download and setup the files for you. I have therefore added a legacy section to our downloads that will help you setup Punkbuster. Edited that when you search it orders the results by last seen date not name, when you search for 'angel' your account now comes up at the top.

I adjusted some of the code on the redirect server to try and sort some of the problems we have been having - I would like to make it more robust further but at least these changes are a step in the right direction.

This all looks correct - select the repository for the game you play on. Open the console by pressing Shift+Tilde (key under escape) Ensure that the command textbox is empty Type '/pb_myguid' Take down the last 8 characters of the printed GUID in the console window and search for it

I see that your game accounts are set as Guest so you most likely have never used the commands. There is an in-game command system available to our admins to assist in administrating the servers. That command system also has some commands for players such as to get their stats or map based commands. The most commonly used command is the !fu command which chooses a 'insult' and says it to the targeted player. The commands are mainly used in our COD4 servers but available in all COD4/COD5 servers that are setup in the system. Finally - it's not required to do it but as there are currently several hundred members that use the commands it makes it easier to manage automatically.

If you are having trouble finding yourself by name search for your GUID. You can get your GUID through the game console /pb_myguid command when connected to the server. or search without the >XI< tags as that sometimes causes problems.

This applies to COD4 & COD5 only! You all know the !fu command right? well if you don't you haven't been in the servers lately! I have managed the in-game permissions manually since we added it to our servers and that has been a big job so.. a few thousand lines of code later I have created an automated system to manage this link for us. You will all need to link your forum accounts to your in-game accounts within the week for you to continue to be able to use the commands such as !fu. How it's done: At the top right of this page is your name; click it and a box appears. Select 'my profile' from the box. Under your avatar there is a stacked menu; select 'Linked players' from that menu. From this page you can see your linked players and manage them, to add a player click the 'Link new player' button on that page and follow in instructions. After you have linked the account you may need to wait before it is approved, I will aim to approve the links the day the request is made. Your in-game permissions will be set to the equivalent of your forum account, heads=heads, admins=admins, clan members etc... If you have any trouble with this the please post here or PM me. Thanks,

This website has access servers in over 23 countries through the CDN we use. The website server itself is located in the USA. When you perform a DNS lookup to our website you will be directed to the access server which you have the best connection to (should never be more than 80ms ping).
