The problem is IE11. They added the 'security features' which cause these problems - nothing changed on the site to cause them.
-
Just tell them not to look at them. I know they are corrupt because the servers have corrupted them but I have left them because at some point we may have the issue fixed and I would like to reset them.
-
I can possible restore them 'IF' the other person in the conversation hasn't deleted them. If you can provide the details I can take a look

PB NOT WORKING!!!!
Sitting-Duc replied to Verizon's topic in Call of Duty 4's Call Of Duty 4 Discussion
Found it! https://www.xtremeidiots.com/topic/43046-pb-updater-for-cod-mw/page-2#entry457703 -
It works yes, currently though there is little difference. However! once this is correctly working and we have few problems all commands will be restricted to link accounts only. So to use !like/!dislike and stats related commands you would have to be registered and linked through these forums. So there will be commands that registered users can use that normal players cannot. I will also be disabling ingame registration. For now though until the system is robust that change will not take place But keep an eye out in the future for the change

PUNK BUSTER IS A PIECE OF CRAP
Sitting-Duc replied to BigPapaDean's topic in Call of Duty 4's Call Of Duty 4 Discussion
Slightly confused over what game this is concerning as you have posted it i the Call of Duty 2 section but mentioned our Call of Duty 4 server - I will assumed it's Call of Duty 4 that you are having a problem with. You need to download and run the pbsetup for legacy games found here: https://www.xtremeidiots.com/files/file/26-pbsetup-for-legacy-games/ -
This is to do with the Activision mater server - not this one, to my knowledge a solution is being worked on

Adult server or not?
Sitting-Duc replied to Sonovabich's topic in Battlefield 4's Battlefield 4 Discussion
The losing hope may have been a bit of a dramatic flare, but who doesn't like a bit of drama now and then I see now I have been trying to help in the wrong way sob... I was just trying to help you more than anyone else and that seems to have backfired. My intentions were to keep the topic on track for your query and to try and assist people in understanding why the decision was made. The requests to keep other discussions out of this topic were made in an effort to keep the discussion about the original query you made, I have not said anywhere that the discussions should not be made on the forums. Not sure where the university or the spelling comment came from but I only do the 'you're*' thing on Rugger's posts if that's what you're referring to In any case I feel like a bit of gaming now and a beer - I have written more on this thread than I would on the average uni assignment -
Adult server or not?
Sitting-Duc replied to Sonovabich's topic in Battlefield 4's Battlefield 4 Discussion
It is discussions like these which make me lose hope a little. I see childish comments, people trying to cause debates and a general lack of common sense. It seems that when people think they are being censored they need to fight it and end up just causing a stir. The initial question was a simple and valid one which was answered promptly and concisely but then everyone wanted to put their '2 cents in' and the topic lost it's direction. I will try now and bring it back to the initial question. The changes were made for the better of the servers and XI, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing and stating an opinion as long as you do so in a meaningful way that is constructive and as long as it is concerning the thread topic. There have been many comments on this thread that have simply been a silly comment where it seems the poster has not read through all the posts. Maybe some misunderstanding has been caused by the terminology? 'banned' / 'bannable' I would use the word banned in the sense that it cannot be said. I would use the word bannable in the sense that if the word is said you will be banned. Maybe my downfall here is that I am a programmer and not a wordsmith The word cunt fits into neither category - there is a consequence for saying it though. The BF4 admins could have set it that once said a message warned you for saying it.. but we would still be having the same conversation, they chose the 'punishment' that you would be killed in-game to bring attention to it. If however after this you would like to describe the word as being banned then: yes the word is banned in the BF4 servers. But please do read why it has been 'banned'. If this is the case then I apologise for not making my answer analytical enough. I can see how from a players point of view they may see it as they are being censored or that they are not allowed to say it because others are finding it offensive. From the admins point of view it is a different story however and it has been a change made to improve the servers. Comparing BF4 and COD4 will do little good either as they are different game types and have different players, additionally they are admined differently as the BF4 servers have a much larger (x10 minimal) player base compared to the COD4 servers, as such there are a higher quantity of trouble makers and people that purposefully join the servers to troll others - preventatives such as this have been put in place to decrease the amount. Before you post (applies to all) consider the reasons why these changes were made, I urge that do you not continue personal discussions of if you feel the word is acceptable or not. If you do want to debate if the word should be banned (by my definition above) then create a new topic. A very tired -
Adult server or not?
Sitting-Duc replied to Sonovabich's topic in Battlefield 4's Battlefield 4 Discussion
I will repeat myself here as it seems most people have not read my earlier post (the one right at the beginning post #4). Maybe I was not clear in what I had written sob and because of that you misunderstood because you later go on to ask if the word is banned or not. You will not be banned if you use the word, and it is not a banned word. There was a problem in the BF4 servers of an overuse of the word causing disruption to the servers and a bad playing environment, the solution (which worked) was the implementation of a system to encourage players not to use it (killing them). This is not saying it is a banned word as you can still use it. [Added due to information in a later post] There have also been other words added to the list due to them being used in multiple personal attacks and because their use also caused disruption. Those are the simple facts, there is no need to dissect the use of the word in other areas of our community as this was only applied to the BF4 servers as that is where the problem was occurring. We do not need to all give our personal feelings on the matter - bringing the code of conduct into it and saying 'no personal attacks'.. 'feelings at the door' is essentially useless in this discussion as it is not what the original post is about. The changes were made for the better of the servers and XI. You may view these how you want, rules, guidelines, assisting functions, whatever - but the implementation has improved the servers dramatically. This to my knowledge is the first complaint since they were implemented. I have also quoted my original post below in the hope that people will read it. -
Adult server or not?
Sitting-Duc replied to Sonovabich's topic in Battlefield 4's Battlefield 4 Discussion
Can we not have a debate over if it is an acceptable word or not? If I recall it was being over used to the point that it was being spammed, the BF4 admins saw fit to add it to a kill list to encourage players not to use it. Not saying it's not allowed because it certainly is - just you will die if you say it. The word is not bannable and is not against our rules - simply a process was added to encourage players to not spam it on those specific servers. As far as the player causing problems, as you know sob sometimes it's a pain in the arse and there are few admins online - we are certainly not perfect :/ -
As well as running the pbsetup for legacy games you will need to run pbsv.exe found on this page: http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsvcfaq.php

Minecraft Survival Hardcore.

I just did that and it took me there with all my currently held items.. If we are starting a new world I don't think it should allow that. -
1. You should only ever be using one GUID to play - if you use multiple aliases they will still be linked to that one GUID so therefore only one link is required. If you use multiple GUID's you should only link your primary one. 2. Links are done to in-game accounts and you will have separate in-game accounts per game. The accounts are identified by GUID's and as such are not cross game compatible. Each game has a data repository and only contains accounts from that game type.

I will update the code later, seems to be an issue with searching for names with spaces in them This is replacing the old method, I used to manage the accounts manually which was wasting lots of my time. If you are a member and you link your account then your in-game account will then be able to use the !fu command. There is currently no method to manually link players, you will have to wait until I have created it. It is not 'necessary' unless you use the member perks such as the !fu command, currently there are only a few perks that this link allows you do do as most are administrator related. Once this link is established it opens the ability for us to be able to provide more features and perks to players and members. In the near future we will be limiting all commands to people who have registered on the forums and linked their accounts. So commands such as !like and !dislike (MW2 Ftag Only) will only be able to be used by players that have registered and by doing so are showing an active interest in the community rather than just one time players.

Evenbalance no longer supports Call of Duty 4. This does not mean we will be removing Punkbuster - it is still a viable admin tool which provides us with many methods of protecting our servers. It does mean that if you reinstall then the standard PBSetup will be unable to download and setup the files for you. I have therefore added a legacy section to our downloads that will help you setup Punkbuster. There is now an updated walk-through found here: http://www.xtremeidiots.com/page/public/bible/_/xi-website/punkbuster-installation-for-call-of-duty-r24
