Hey all, I've been super busy @ the homestead. Thought I'd post some pictures!
So, I do this for a living. Windows, doors, siding, ect.. but we build new houses from scratch. This here is a totally different ballgame. Nothing was strait to begin with, house has been worked on and patched up multiple times. I'm really happy with the results so far, but it has been a huge amount of work.
This is what we started with.
First was the roof. I did the small roofs but had a contractor do the main roof.
Balcony had a leak so that was enclosed quickly over the winter.
Finished off the balcony and added 2" Styrofoam. The back of the house was noticeably colder than the rest so, insulation was a must. New window for the current laundry room, but that's also getting converted to a large bathroom sometime.
The bump out was a porch, then enclosed to be a sun room. Our daughter has now made it her bedroom, so...with the bottom being open, and the old wooden windows. That room was always cold! Floor was insulated, bottom framed in a foamed closed. 2 double windows on both sides were framed in and covered. The 3 windows you still see will be removed and replaced with just 1 in the center.
Costal blue, Dutchlap siding started.
