It depends on the game. Playing a Shooter with a Joystick doesn't work (for me). But it's ideal for racing games, flight simulators or football or basketball games like FIFA 13 or NBA 13 For all other games I prefer a mouse. I bet this is caused by those shops which sell the cd keys only. No one knows the sources of this keys. Where did you buy the game?

Do you have a tuning tuning tool running? ( something Like Expertool for nvidia cards). If you do, make sure that it is running on a normal profile Run a Benchmark tool like 3DMark and watch out for graphic issues when the tests are running.

I had the same Prob with Steam and CoD 5. @@Labob gave me the final hint. First ensure, that "Show Hidden files and Folders" is ACTIVE in the folder options Go to: C:\users\YourName\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\ and Create a new folder with your desired name (keep it under 12 letters/chars). I took -Techboy- for testing. You will also find a textfile named "active.txt". Write down the folder name there and save the file. When running the game, you'll see the new name in the top right corner - its marked as OFFLINE. Now create a new(!) online profile with the same name you choosed above. For me it worked. It MAY be necessary that you have to delete ALL other profiles from this folder. EXCEPT the "$$$" - there are your saves! Without the Tags. Add them like Hemps said.
