Okay, originally I did this primarily as a joke, but now I am going to rise up to SOB's level and have a serious discussion about it. In the context of what XI is and how we generally interact with each other here. First off, any award of the medal such as this - which denigrates the person awarded - is clearly in the spirit of many other medals we have here. The aforementioned cock, wanker, bitch, etc. medals for example. Second off, many members don't put information/pictures of their spouses on here. Their privacy is their concern and good on them. Those that do, or that have spouses who are members too, well, their XI friends can determine if they want to be "insulting" or not by awarding or not awarding such a medal. Clearly, the intent of the medal is to identify those egregious, heinous crimes against reason that begs us to question - wtf were Dukoo and Flush's wives thinking?! All that being said, I am clearly not the best spokesperson for protecting people's feelings, as I have demonstrated numerous times. In the end, it is my opinion that anyone who fails to receive such a medal will not be chastised by their spouses, nor their friends chastised by their spouses, for failing to acquire this most despicable honor. If anything, the medal is more insulting to people who are actually visually impaired than people's whose spouses are or are not hotter than they are. And since Wildthing is the only person I know who apparently plays this game visually impaired, I think we can all agree that our population will not suffer greatly if we offend those among us who can't see very well.

I think the spawn protection is just about right. With a free run you can get very close to where you could on the old mod. I like the speed - the faster the better IMHO.

Sono, you could look at it that way. Or we could just be saying that they are a good match (either both ugly or both good looking or both average or whatever). This is really just for those situations where the difference is so outrageous that an award is deserved - as in the aforementioned Flush and Dukoo examples. And of course, we would expect that due gender double standards, no XI female member would likely be eligible for this medal.

I love Ithaca shotguns. I have a trusty old 870. I wimped out and put a fully rifled cantilevered barrel on it a couple of years ago with a Leupold 1-4 power scope. I got sick of having very marginal 75 yard shots. I still always bring my 20" slug barrel with me as a backup option, and in case I am going to be in a situation where iron sights are more appropriate. What kind of slugs do you fire? For my slug barrel I always liked the Rotweil Brenecke (sp?) slugs. For the rifled barrel I have been shooting the Hornady sabots.
