its basically a double SSD in raid 0 configuration so twice faster than a simple SSD

and woohoo, i build it more or less with what i wanted. the case is frigging big, i cant even put it under my desk, as its too high and the noctua fan is just amazing, this beast is freezing the whole room, its so powerful so everything is running fine, the revodrive is crazy fast, im really happy but i have now problems with cod4 and xfire, other games are running great with or without xfire. but when i wanna play cod4 i have to shut down xfire or the game will freeze after 10seconds i have to ctrl alt del (and go to the blue screen of task manager) to defrost the game, at that moment i hear sounds coming from the game again, i press cancel, so i go back to the game and it will freeze again after 5sec anyone else got this problem ? so the only way for me to play cod4 is to shut down xfire ?

k well i wont OC it or just a bit if its easy. but yea i will be happy with stock speed. im ordering it tomorrow my actual ssystem takes like 3 hours to render a 3m video with a few fx and not even a simple 3D stuff i will test with the same video project and see how faster it is, but i expect it to be at least 5 times faster if not 10 or more, i dont know, but that ssd pci card will certainly helps a lot so i will go with that gigabyte mobo, the i7 870, the gtx470 as its the only affordable cuda card out there. and i will go for 2x4G ram so i can update later with another 2x4G and get 16G of ram for even faster rendering and later i was thinking to get a second ssd for cache only cant wait

i think i will go for the gigabyte mobo it got sata 3 (for a future upgrate) well it seems the most versatile and upgradable mobo. the evga got great reviews and all but seems a bit old and no sata 3, no usb 3,... for the cpu, do you mean we cant OC a 870 ? then why i do see tests results where they pushed it to 4.2 ha, its been like 10 years i did my last OC, well im not sure i want to OC either. and yes labob, a nas is also on my list, but i will wait a bit for that

so i want to build me a new system, but realized im a bit lost nowadays with all the new technology that came these last few years. this system would be used mostly for video editing, and all adobe design stuffs, this mean im going for nvidia cuda video card. but where im lost is for hard drives. i dont understand what raid 0 raid 1 and all is. im searching info about this now, but thought i would ask u guyz too. i was thinking about this OCZ Revodrive 120G pci card because its simply twice as fast as the fasted ssd drive, and was wondering how one can install this coupled with other HD to stock big files. and what would be the fasted solution for these 'slave' HDs. what i need is fasted read/write solution and of course i have lots of big files so icant go ssd for those or it would be way too expensive. + the fact that i need to backup almost all files in case. ok here is what i was thinking to get: - CPU: Intel i7 870 - mobo: there is another question, im not sure: evga p55 classified 200 gigabyte P55A UD6 asus ? - ram ? i need 8G but what model ? - GPU: evga gtx470 for case and psu i will go for thermaltake armor i guess what do you tech guyz think ? and i need this very soon, i have lots of videos to edit for customers that are waiting and my actual system dont do the job correctly.

when i go in spec i cant spec people, so when a guy kill me when im behind wall or before i can even see him, i usually want to spec him for a few seconds and see if i can whine more than usual or not lol yesterday at least i couldnt spec people and end 2 maps with 0 kills now ok i was a bit tired but cmon 0 kills, that should and could never happen to a chkn and i agree some of those maps could be friggin awesome for FT well the whole mod in FT would be great not sure its possible

plz put the spec option back on. i find it very suspicious i end dying 3 times more than killing enemies ... is pb even working on this mod ?

yea i have that problem too seems to happen less now with latest nvidia drivers, not sure

moh airborne was really a good game, but they screwed it with servers and no real support like u can get with the cod series. but airborne to me was one of the best game ever made, in the same category as cod waw but way better. now this new MOH, im sry but its a fail at least in beta stage. but still nobody played black ops so u never know. they say its the bet cod ever, but u dont know untill u try it

chavez CHKN yea its really good chavez, except your upload speed. best ping i get from brussels to a NY server is like 105ms, but my telephone line is in pretty bad shape, that and my rj45 cable too im gona replace this cable next week and see if i get better results. the upload sux here , it's limited to 1mb/s . wat provider do you have chkn ? mine is telenet. mine is belgacom i get a 2mb/s upload. its not that its a big difference, but i upload lots of stuff, so it would take me twice less time than with telenet but telenet is one of the best isp here, i wouldnt suggest changing if u happy with what u have.

lol yea i just started using hotkeys, and im getting better. the problem i have is for counter early rush. zergs are fast at early rush, and they very often come in my base destroying my workers, and so are reapers. today i play 3 matches 3vs3, and all 3 matches were like 2 or 3 min long, people rushing detroying all workers, base, game. so i was a bit pissed, decided to do the same, so next match was me vs 2 other guyz. i was preparing a reaper rush, and destroyed both enemy base and workers. it can be so easy, but i guess the next step is properly counter those early rushes. i still a bit confused thanx for advices

guyz, i seriously need help with this game i suck so bad im really ashamed i play some custom matches, 3 vs 3 always playing with terrans as i do not know anything about other races yet. so what i do after getting owned after 5min is this: i replay the match and try to watch carefully how the best player of the match is playing. i study the strategy and redo the exact same in next match. i was thinking it was a good way to get some positive results, but guess what lol i still get owned after 3 or 5 min, no matter what strategy i use. so i go watch some strategy videos on youtube, some are really well explained. but still same thing so i need to read some sun tzu book to be able to play decently or there is a lot of luck in all this game and my bad luck is playing against me? man i need some help because even if i lose a lot, and i really mean a lot, i do love this game

i've set my battlenet account to US, the problem is that its the key of the damned cd that counts so im just stuck in european servers. and from what i heard even french canadians are set to play on european servers. so its not a lag issue or anything; if they change it i would be happy because i could play with all of you guyz but yea, i will send blizzard an email to see if they can change my key. bob, i thought one day to move in US or canada, but lets face it, there is no other country in this world where i could live like i am now, and work like i do other than mine. it may change anytime soon, because some people elected some son-of-collaborationists-refuting-the-hollocaust-and-all but for now, im in the best country to live as an artist. and anyway moving to US wont change anything as my key is still a EU key

its a game i could play for years first because i suck at it, but love it, so i have lot of work to get better then the original starcraft was for many the best game ever, and it still played a lot. and the 2 seems to be about the same game with way better graphics, and a few more stuffs. but i cant be really honnest as its the first game of its kind that im playing. ok i used to play diablo 2 a bit and medieval, but not online. then there are so many ways to play this game, it has lots of different mods, custom maps, and lots of people playing it so u'll always find someone to play with, the only problem i see is this lame region lock, that wont let me play with my US friends imagine if they release black ops region lock too, this is just unacceptable. but i just love this game
