Smokemist I heard you complaining expressing your concern  with what seems to be issues with hit boxes in BF3.  Here are a few things you can do to help with that.

I have ran this for over a year.  Please keep in mind when making changes like this, give yourself 5-8 hours before you make a decision.

Interoplation - Network Smoothing Factor

In options / gameplay make sure Network Smoothing Factor is far left.  This creates a "virtual lag" in order to overcome jerkiness.  It also add lag to your bullet and messes up hit boxes.

Threaded Optimization + MaxPrerenderedFrames:

Open Nvidia Control Panel --> Manage 3D Settings --> Program Settings --> Battlefield 3

Set Maximum Pre-rendered Frames to 1. (effect: system prerenders only 1 frame instead of 3, results in less game stuttering)

Set Threaded Optimization On. (effect: loading times reduced)

FXAA Enable:

If you're using NVIDIA Geforce Driver 290.36 Beta or higher, you're able to use FXAA.
NVIDIA Inspector is the best choice to activate FXAA.

Open NVIDIA Inspector and click on the tool-button.

Choose Profiles --> Battlefield 3 and under Antialiasing set NVIDIA Predefined FXAA Usage to Allowed and Toggle FXAA on or off to Enabled

Danoc1 FXAA Injector:

This just makes the game look better and will help fix those "dark corners" that you mentioned.  It is not against the rules per EA forums.

This is an adjusted FXAA Injector for BF3. (source: PCGH Forum)
Copy all files to your Battlefield 3 installdirectory. Delete older version before copying the new one.
Difference between normal and performance version is, that the performance version has disabled Ambient Occlusion.
Attention: If you copy your commands in your own user.cfg file over to Danoc1's file, the user.cfg file has double commands like RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit and RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable

New version 1.3 Beta released: (Changelog see Post#17)
Directlinks:

Mouse sensitivity:

This may be the single most important aspect of a FPS.

Disable Origin Ingame Overlay - This will help reduce mouse lag.

Origin --> Settings --> In Game --> uncheck "Enable Origin In Game"(effect: better mouse feeling, it's no more spongy)

Disable mouse acceleration.

It is absolutely vital to disable all mouse acceleration when playing any game. With acceleration on, you will not be able to play consistently. For example, you might move the mouse 6 inches to turn 180 degrees, then you move the mouse 6 inches another time, and depending on how fast you move the mouse you might turn 100 degrees, you might turn 270. This uncertainty in mouse response inevitably limits everyone's potential.

Watch this to make all settings above:

Again, TURN OFF ALL ACCELERATION.

Accuracy:

For those of you with high DPS mice, turn your DPI all they up, leave the mouse speeds in Windows set per the above video settings.  Once your DPI is maxed, change the speed IN GAME ONLY.  This will allow the mouse to register the smallest area of change (accuracy) without interpolling it down as seen in the video.
Believe me when I say this, this will take some time to get used to, but after awhile you will be amazed.

Disabling mouse acceleration is for when you want to move your mice while being blind.

I have find best results having the "Network interpolation" slider set to about half full, I recommend trying 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 to see what the sweet spot is for you and your internet connection. Also bare in mind that when playing on high ping servers (ping > 50), you will probably want to increase the slider, otherwise movement in game might get too stuttery.

Oh, and if you get black or corrupted textures when running the game after applying these settings, it's probably the "Max Pre-rendered frames" clamp, so set it back to "Application controlled" or "automatic" if you have black/corrupted textures after following the above guide.
