Something that I could eventually pair with another when I did get a new system. Lastly I have a dual core with 2 gigs ram, will the card even help enough to matter? Or will I just be stuck with a card that goes faster than my system can handle? Any suggestions appreciated

You can start with his list.. and then do some specific searches in NewEgg.. Ebay.. and the like. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gaming-graphics-card-geforce-gtx-590-radeon-hd-6990,2879.html For the service and etc.. that goes with buying online, I have found it hard to beat NewEgg. Why don't you give us the complete specs of your current system. This will help to make a decision on what to do. Awards

Here is a page I was looking at earlier, but then I seen some of the 500 series lower end in the same range. So I thought someone could suggest what they had and why it was best.

The graphics card upgrade probably will be your best option right now. Even if you cannot benefit from all the graphics power (not saying you won't.. just don't know if you will), you should improve.. and you will have a card to move on to a new rig in the future. (one that you could probably buy another just like it and use in SLi or CrossFire mode). I will get back to you after I look around.. may be a few days. Happy Hunting!!! Awards
