Can't run games on other HDD

so i got 2 HDD in my computer, one 160gb and one 500gb so i got my OS installed on my 160gb hdd and i install my games to the 500gb, today i installed both Battlefield BC2 and the BF3 beta on the 500gb hdd, it installed without any problems, now when i try to play them they wont work, the BC2 cant update properly and the BF3 wont even start, says that the game wasn't installed properly, i got Steam on this HDD to but they work perfect. Anyone nows whats the problem?
