I was wondering how to turn off the read onlt attributte in win 7. I do choose the folder and go to properties and uncheck the box hit apply it runs and then it just turns itself on again. Any Ideas here. I do have this web page but I'm not getting that to work as well. Here my line inthe cmd box Awards

However, the Read-only attribute is not changed for the folder, its subfolders, or any files in its subfolders. What ever happened to just unchecking the box and saying yes to apply was that to much for us Microsoft Awards
