I am finishing up my new build and need a new keyboard and mouse. I play COD, MW and BF3. What would you suggest?

PS I have big hands.

For the mouse go for the RAT 7. I believe the Logitech gaming keyboards are very good.

I personally don't care for the gaming keyboards, at least the plain flat ones anyway.

I got a Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. Been using it since about Thanksgiving or Christmas, It is awesomely comfortable.

It has a lot of features, not so much for games, but the shape and contour of it is more like a game pad.

and I just use a fair sized Logitech mouse.

keyboards doesnt really matter for me too, i got a ms sidewinder x6. but every other keyboard would do it too.

my mouse is a r.a.t. 9 and i have to say it is the best mouse i ever used. its perfect for big hands because u can adjust almost everything on it.

I would never go wireless for gaming. I use Razer mice. My current one is the Death Adder and I've never had a single issue with it. I don't go for gaming keyboards. (Too many gimmick buttons for me). I use a standard Microsoft keyboard.

Rat7 or 9. The wired vs. unwired talk is now of na avail. The response times of unwired are about 2 milisecs different slower than a wired. Not enough to matter.

As for the keyboard Ii have a Saitek Cyborg. It's ok for FPS but if you play WoW or other games where you need to see hit-points or other the G19 seems to be the best.

Go to Maximum PC and check out the best of the best area. Up near the top of the site there is a small red stripe that has how-tos, software, reviews and Best of the best. Click on the tab and scroll down to keyboards then to mice to see their picks.

A good keyboard has a built in function called anti-bounce. This keeps the keys from accidentally hitting twice. Have you ever been typing and seen two letters pop up when you know you only hit the key once? Thats bounce. In a game if you do something like throw a grenade and the key "bounces" you waste time throwing two grenades. Not good and rare but it does happen. Buy a good gaming keyboard. Check the fit of your hand against it if you have a Fry's or Best Buy around. I played with the Microsoft Ergo style for a while but found the distance from the wsad keys to the hjym keys too far. It splits at athese letters and you need them closer together for speed.

Get a good head set too. Speakers sound good but don't give good accoustical feedback as where an opponent might be. In a game of 6-8 people I can hear people very far away with my Creative Fatal1ty series headset. A definate advantage in a small game.

Cheers and good luck!

Depends on how much you're willing to spend, if I had the extra cash lying around I would get the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate. If you don't want to do that then I would go with what they suggested, a Logitech :w00t:

Well, I'd say you can beat them on how long they last though, I've had the same Logitech Mx110 Series mouse for eight years and I still keep it as a backup incase my Razer deathadder goes down.

I would say there is no perfekt keybord and mouse. The most important thing is to be skilled with the mouse and keybord you have.

I'm playing with a standart (EX100) logitech wireless mouse and keybord (howl package for 20€) without any extra buttons (only left, right and wheel ; eventhough you have different suit modes in Crysis wars), but I really like it and always have a good score.

I use an ancient Logitech Mouseman Dual Laser mouse, wired of course. I did try a newer Logitech Gaming mouse and it just didnt appeal to me. Sure the extra buttons were nice, but I sent it packing and plugged in my old one.

Awesome choices. Congrats on the new gear! I picked up a K90 yesterday after my Microsoft Reclusa Kb started having issues. Love the look of the unit and the feel of the Cherry Red key switches.

mouse = razer imperator or the latest optimized for the games you are playing (fps --mmo ...etc... ) above 5600 dpi it can be a bit challenging in Bf3 as the mouse has to be turned way down for you to be able to hit anything --no big though , many of us have them and can help you tweak it to your liking for the game if you decide to go that way ---get a decent mousepad /mat (I use the razer exactmat --1 side is for speed , 1 side is for precision ) with a gel rest for those long hours of gameplay.

Keyboard = I am really hard on keyboards so --I just get one that has spill proof coating --think current one is from logitech , if you wanna go higher end the G series from logitech or the razer gaming keyboards are some of the best .
