Ive just upgraded my pc to 8gb ram and am getting the above results. Are they as they should be or should I be getting 5-5-5-15.?

The ram is corsair dominator ddr2 1066mhz and I have 4 banks now full containing 2gb ram in each.

The motherboard is an asus p5nt deluxe and the processor is intel quad q9300 2.5.

Any help or confirmation that its all ok would be most appreciated as I am confused by it all....thanks.

Rockape IMHO I would say it's fine as is. I'm just starting to turn this cold on it's head, so can also look at this when I pop over this week to sort out the other stuff. I'll do further reading before turning up.

For the clock frequency that you're running them at, you're at the correct timings, so no worries there. I wouldn't go fiddling with the settings unless you

are comfortable with manually tweaking voltages and the like.

I agree on Windows 7 64-bit. It's the best Windows that Microsoft has ever put out. I'm installing a bootable Windows 8 beta on a 64Gb USB stick later today to give it a try. I've tried it briefly using VMWare workstation and I have to say that if the final release has that horrendous "Metro" interface as the only option, I'll be sticking with Windows 7 for a long time to come. My # 2 favourite OS is Linux Mint. I dual boot my personal and work laptops with it. If commercial games were released for it, it would be my #1 choice.
