Try going into you device manager and completely remove the sound option and let windows find it again. Also go to the manufacture web site for that sound card or motherboard and see if there is an update for the driver. Most times it is just an old driver issue with a newer game. I searched the internet through the night and found various so called sollutions lol. What i ended up doing was removed my hard drive and replaced it with a spare formated it then clean install of windows xp. Then using the original disc for my motherboard I rolled back all the drivers then tried again with the game install, You ask did it work NOT BLOODY LIKELY same error message same files missing. SO after exhausting every possibillity I give up unless anyone has any other idea's. By the way please do not suggest changing hard drive or drivers again it took me 3 hours to get my comp back to the way it was before I started pratting about lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
