The COD5 crowd know I enjoy studying languages - always have done and most of my qualifications reflect this.

The trouble with foreign languages, however, is that you have to use them or lose them and, in the case of German,

I visit Germany so infrequently that I have become quite rusty.

 

I get great joy from discovering new words in a foreign tongue, especially when there is going to be a chance to use

them.

 

Today, reading through comments on an English newspaper report, I encountered one I felt I had to look up.

What a find!
