To his surprise he got custody of the kids because she was keeping them at her boyfriends house and she was also ordered to go back to work and pay child support. Hope the same works for you Tinmann. I know personaly what your going through. To change anything in the custody she has to meet 5 criteria. In Ohio she has to prove there is a significant change in circumstance. That means that she has to prove its in the best interests of the children to change a parenting agreement. Now if she had a 3% or more change in her income she can request child support review at any time. Otherwise its once every 3 years. If she is trying to change the visitation and shared parenting vs full legal custodian then the significant change of circumstance comes into play. My advice to you is file a counter petition for full custody. From the sounds of it she is not looking out for their best interests. The court would appoint a Guardian ad Litem to investigate and make a determination on what is best for the kids. The court will side with the GAL 99% of the time. When you meet with the GAL DO NOT put down the kids mother but give the impression of neutrality and cooperation. Just show your concern for the cosleeping and other such things that are inappropriate for the kids. Sleeping at the boyfriends house is not a positive thing. If the court determins that you get custody then she will pay you child support. How do I know all this? I went throught he same thing and my wife is a Guadian At Litem for montgomery county. (for now) Im waiting to hear from my lawyer to see where we go from here. Im not backing down from wanting full custody. we waited in the hallway while our lawyers went in and she tried to tell me she wants her rings back and the piano. lol i told her i dont have the rings and we will see about the piano, it is fine where it is. then she proceeded to ask me about what i was going to do when her boyfriend comes here after they get married....... i asked "when is that gonna happen?" she said "probably next year" too funny to me, she is going to get married a 3rd time? lol some people never learn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... I had to get the address from my ex because I never knew who it was, and I took them in........ during the cleaning the hygentist told me my kids have smoker stains on thier teeth, probably from being in enclosed areas with smokers(like a car).... the dentist comes in and looks at the x-rays and finds my youngest has five cavities but they were the same ones she had last year! I cant believe my ex knew about it a year ago and never got them fixed!!!!!!!!!! this crap is so frustrating!!!! I made her an appointment to get them fixed when my son gets his cleaned the next weekend I have them, so i know they will be taken care of. anybody wonder why I want full custody?
