With the recent outcomes of the stability of updates. every minor update has resulted in some type of issue whether it is chunk corruption or player data corruption even down to sever instability. my main goal is stability. we all like alot of mods and gives us for more stuff to me. issue is that when you have alot of mods (202 mods on dns) the more variables you throw in the equation for stuff to go wrong, this is why the issues happen and instability happens. no matter how much testing i do before the update there always seems to be some issue that causes catastrophic failing within the server which is where you get you TPS Drops, time outs, and random restarts.

With all this said i am putting up a vote to make a change, change being do we stick with DNS or do we go with a more developed mod that has less issues this mod being Tekkit. i think tekkit would be a choice that we can do good with, with this community. it is a lighter mod pack that dns (about 120 mods less) it skims out some of the un-necessary mods but we loose mods such as magic, mickinism, ederIO. we have been testing this mod out for a few days now and you are all welcome to test it, the ip and port will be listed below. Tekkit is lighter and would run much smoother raising TPS and reducing server crashes.

If voted for i will to the switch over on the 19th of January. and dns will go into hybernation. if you do not want to lose your stuff (block data) i will pull chunk data and allow your chunk (only your chunk) to yourself  to glory to on your single player dns server :)

I have also thrown in another pack this one is similar to DNS and is called Test Pack Please Ignore and you can also log into this server using the ip and port below. please review these servers and give me honest input!

Below is the Launcher for both tekkit and TPPI

Tekkit: 97.86.13.233:25565

TPPI: 97.86.13.233:25566

Thanks,

Devil

TPPI is still on 1.6 so I vote no to TPPI unless it has updated. I dislike tekkit so I vote no on the pack change. If the change happens then this may be goodbye from scott66313

P.S. I would like to get my town on single player if the change happens.

I have been talking with the people that run tppi via reddit and they are waiting for a release from sponge and forge to see what they will be doing for the future. As well as waiting for mods to choose there direction. And to choose which mod will be used and which mode won't be used. They have assured a more up to day client will come soon just how soon and whether or not it will be 1.7 or 1.8 the mods are more stable from what I seen we pretty much ran each mod in the test and crashed a few times with items we knew would crash it (red woods)

Scott you love us to much to leave, and we would miss you. Join the ride. We are making these changes based on feedback of players. These are sort of growing pains of minecraft, change until we find the right pack. And this pack is a step forward not back. Would really like to see you follow us on this uncharted future of XI minecraft.

P.S. Despite the fact that we jokingly tease you about lagging the server we really enjoy having you around.
