It is a long process to purchase a handgun in Maryland. Once you have the mandated training certification, the MINIMUM is 7 days from date of purchase to bring it home, but it usually takes about two weeks. The state police handle it all. It's ridiculous. Firearm Owners Identification Card. You have to pay a fee to exercise your rights. They're backlogged 6 months or so, but they assure your out of date card is still valid....yeah, ok. Its quite the same here. You have to be in a shooting gun club , you have to do i think two or three trainings and also provincial police look at your records before you can possess one. Only right to carry it from your home to your shooting club is permitted thats it. EastCoast50 1 Awards
