Either Mem controller, or ram directly. If your system is AMD it could be the NB which also affects the IMC. (Intagrated memory controller on the CPU). A black screen with no blue screen is voltage or heat. Plain lockups are usually voltage also. Hopefully you will just be paying for some ram sticks. Awards
