  1. So my new employer is buying me a new computer and I have about $2,000 to play with. I haven't bought a new desktop PC in several years and anything more than a couple years old is considered an antique. I've owned just about every major brand over the last 15 years and by far the most reliable have been my Toshiba's, at least in laptop models. I've been playing COD2 on my Toshiba laptop for the last 4 years and it hasn't failed me yet. My job will involve taking and storing tons of hi-res images, so I'll need a computer with major storage and decent graphics, and no, I'm not considering an Apple. I also want something that will run COD2 without any trouble which shouldn't be difficult. Many manufacturers seem to be switching from tower models to all-in-one types where the entire computer is in the monitor. Seems like that could be a problem if I ever want to upgrade, but maybe not. So here's what I'm considering from Toshiba. Toshiba All-in-One LX830-BT2N22 Desktop with some custom features 23 inch wide screen/touch screen monitor Wireless Keyboard and mouse Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor 2.30GHz (3.30GHz with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0), 6MB L3 Cache Windows 7 Professional 64 bit 16GB DDR3 1600MHz (8GB + 8GB) 2 TB Hard Drive Microsoft Office 2010 3 year warranty on-site repair Total cost $1,806.99 So am I missing out on any better deals or more high performance PC's for the price?
  2. That's a new one on me. I've changed things in my name before and it doesn't get saved after I close the program, but I've never not been able to go into multiplayer options and just change my name.
  3. Me and all my friends are going to skip the birthday celebration and give him and his blind followers a going away party he will never forget on November 2nd.
  4. So as many of you have probably heard, the Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain has been embroiled in controversy over a comment made by their CEO a few days ago saying he believed in the biblical definition of marriage and it should only be between a man and a woman. Since that time he has received death threats, and promises from mayors or major cities to remove their restaurants from city limits. The pro-gay marriage folks have tried to organize boycotts, have protested outside of their restaurants, and the anti-gay marriage folks organized their own protest by standing in line for hours to patronize Chick-Fil-A to show support for the CEO. They served more than a million more customers than normal over a 2 day period. So the CFO of a pharmaceutical company decides he is going to do his own little protest and post it on Youtube. He goes to the drive-thru window of a restaurant and orders nothing but a free water, then proceeds to rip the poor young girl serving him a new butt hole. He said she should be ashamed for working for such an intolerant company. She held her composure and was nothing but nice to him. That evening he got home from work and posted the video on Youtube. It went viral within hours. His employer fired him for being such an idiot. His email account was getting 3 threatening emails per minute and somebody posted his home address. He and his family are now receiving death threats and they've had to go into hiding. He is crying foul because he is being denied his right to freedom of speech, something he should have thought of when he decided to protest the Chick-Fil-A CEO's freedom of speech. Personally I don't care if same sex couples want to marry, I just wish everybody didn't get so damn uppity about it when somebody doesn't agree with them. Here is the video and a link to an interview with the dumbass below the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPLNgkP9nzc http://www.theblaze.com/stories/exclusive-theblaze-interviews-the-guy-fired-for-berating-a-chick-fil-a-protester-employee/
  5. They can't help themselves. I have this power over people
  6. Oops my bad. I thought this post was about me. Carry on......
  7. Yeah I'd like to make a swoosh in her hoop.
  8. Whenever your wife farts your dog leaves the room because it knows it will get kicked by your wife.
  9. Very cool. Something many people don't realize is that the eastern half of Colorado is flat as a pancake and they get a lot of tornadoes just like Kansas. You don't see the Rockies until you're in Denver in the west. I flew into Denver a couple years ago and had to drive about 5 hours east and it was some of the flattest country I've ever seen.
  10. It's funny, in the US it's the southerners that can be more difficult to understand, although I'm bi-lingual and speak northern and southern US English fluently. I'm still working on my New England English but have a fairly good grasp of it. Canadians speak Greek to me. I have an app on my cell phone to translate forum posts by Pete and other Canadians.
  11. Wait until the wife is doing laundry and blow a gasket in front of the washer then throw them right in. At least I've heard that works.
  12. I would let her do that to me if she would kiss it and make it all better.
  13. I completely agree Dawg. Too many "single weapons" maps might be popular for a few people but overall many people sit them out. I think one shotty and one pistol map should be the limit with all other maps being all weapons and nades. The small maps get too busy and turn into a clusterfuck of spawn killing with all weapons, so perhaps we should make sure the all weapon maps are medium to large. The moon map is a good example of a mindless spawn raping clusterfuck. Many people sit it out or let out with a loud moan when it comes up. Most of us have cramped fingers and bug eyes by the time we finish playing it with a large crowd.
  14. Let's make it a pistol map with no frags so Spanky will sit the map out.
  15. He died in 1998, but they still talk about him in the military. Here is another video on him.
  16. It would be unwise to keep a tube of this in your nightstand drawer. Grabbing the wrong tube in the heat of the moment could require years of therapy and plastic surgery to repair the damage.
  17. Weather has been pretty normal out here in California, but yesterday I saw some cloud formations that were really odd. They looked like mini mushroom clouds from a nuclear blast. I had to pull over and snap a couple pics with my cell phone.
  18. I live about 2.5 hours from Sqaw Valley home to the 1960 Olympics. It's still a big tourist destination and popular ski resort.
  19. I don't know where you read that but it's fiction. They aren't. The Border Agency officers who check passports at the airports were going on strike but that has now been called off. (Only 20% of their union members bothered to vote in the ballot and just over half voted to strike so it was no big deal anyway.) Their grouse was that their members are being made redundant (1,000 too many in the last year) leaving Heathrow and oher places unable to cope! If you Google "London Transit Workers Strike" you will find many links from various news organizations. It looks like there is not going to be a strike becuase London was left with little choice but to meet the union's demands and give them raises before the Olympics. At least that's what I surmised from a few of the links. Here are some examples. http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/London+Olympics+More+setbacks+transit+workers+threaten+strike+Nadal+pulls+injury/6961576/story.html http://espn.go.com/olympics/story/_/id/8029369/london-bus-workers-threaten-olympics-strike http://espn.go.com/olympics/summer/2012/story/_/id/8180226/olympics-2012-threatened-worker-strikes-affect-games http://www.atu.org/media/releases/transit-union-shows-solidarity-with-striking-london-bus-workers http://www.adballa.com/2012/07/feliciano-lopez/setbacks-nadal-threaten-workers-injury-out-strike-london-more-due-olympi
  20. I was reading a story just last night about the Big "O" stadium that was built for the 1976 Olympics in Montreal and how it was just paid off in 2006 and nobody uses it anymore. Most cities want to host the Olympics to make some money, but many have lost billions because of the costs involved. I predict at some point in the near future cities will no longer be interested in hosting the Olympics. I was also reading yesterday that the London trasit workers union said they were going to strike on the first day of the Olympics if their demands for more pay were not met. Talk about extortion. I hope they fire those fuckers as payback after the Olympics are over.
  21. I see Spanky was in his usual spot near the bottom even before he had his tags. It's all been downhill for him since then.
  22. I just threw up a little in my mouth.
  23. Nothing else seems to work very well, at least I still have a few viable brain cells left.
  24. What did I win?
  25. You can't sweet talk me Loader. I'm saving myself for marriage.
