  1. It's because you're a COD2 Admin and forbidden from playing other games.
  2. Ok, this is going to sound like a really stupid question, but under "options/system/voice chat" menu is the record level moved all the way to the ----->RIGHT, and the voice chat set to "ON"? I've researched this problem and found a few instances where the player was simply overlooking one or both of those settings, but I could find no other people with the same problem you're having where it works on other games and not COD2. It just has to be a simple setting that's being overlooked, or maybe there is another setting in your config files where chat is set to "no". If you look at the config files there are these 4 settings: seta winvoice_mic_mute "1" seta winvoice_mic_reclevel "65535" seta winvoice_mic_scaler "1" seta winvoice_save_voice "0" Take a look and make sure they're set as shown above.
  3. Bart, please do think Oakland and the attitudes of the 60's in any way reflect how most of California is today. Of all the fucking places they could have discharged you, Oakland was the worst. Berkeley is right next door to Oakland that that is the birthplace of the anti war movement during Viet Nam. Berkeley is still a bastion of progressive hippy douche bags, but if you get away from the cities you'll find right leaning people that are just like anybody you would find in the heartland of the US. There is a guy that's trying to introduce a bill that would break California up into 6 separate states. It's been tried before and it will be tried again, but it goes to show you how many people who live here can't stand the way the state is being run. Like I said, I can put up with a lot of shit for nice weather. Add deep sea fishing at my back door, and hunting and skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains, I can't imagine living anywhere else.
  4. Which I guess explains why your profile says that you're from the "Shithole State".
  5. I can put up with a lot of shit for good weather. By the way, it was 72 here today, how was it in Arkansas and Illinois?
  6. And absolutely nothing happened just like always. Not far from where I live however, a couple found 10 million in gold coins just laying there. Waaaaaaa......... http://www.nbcnews.com/#/news/us-news/california-couple-finds-10m-gold-coins-buried-yard-n38471
  7. That's great news Harry congratulations! As far as getting drunk is concerned, try to lay off the beer. With limited kidney function the piss may back up and your head will explode.
  8. Not my favorite, but makes me gut laugh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AFs8SYqNZA
  9. Hmmm, I can think of a few billion people (in pink on map who have been invaded or colonized by Britain) who might not agree with that statement.
  10. RIP Harold. Thanks for the laughs. http://www.today.com/entertainment/harold-ramis-ghostbusters-star-dead-69-2D12156583
  11. Possibly, but not if you call keep calling me Shirley.
  12. Haven't we already filled our quota of Brits this year?
  13. This has been big news among car enthusiasts in my area. Skip Wilson did some work for me back in the late 1980's on a Chevy Blazer I used to own. The guy knows his shit and is a great mechanic. Most cars stolen in California get shipped to Mexico within hours if they aren't stripped locally. I remember a few years ago a news crew went to a little town in Mexico where the cops all drove new American cars. They all turned out to be stolen from California.
  14. For the most part the new DM server seems to be working pretty well and the CI's seems to have been greatly reduced. A couple of suggestions I have would be: 1. Do away with the spawn protection. Yes the occasional spawn raping was getting frustrating on the old mod, but having people constantly appear out of nowhere and kill you is even more frustrating than the spawn raping ever was. 2. Enable the long range sniper rifle sights. We have at least a couple maps in the current rotation that are absolutely huge, and the only way to see people across the map is with the long range scope. If people have other suggestions please post them here. Thanks, LOM
  15. Your nuts must be up in your throat.
  16. I own some of the better marriage underwear.
  17. Now these are dedicated beer drinkers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB6fR10H8pI
  18. Unfortunately that's not how it is in the states. There are a number of questions that are off limits during a job interview but asking if you have sued a former employer is not one of them. Janey is in a difficult position that doesn't make it easy for her to find work. If she tells the truth most employers won't hire her. If she lies about the lawsuit and they find out, she'll probably be fired, and if she refuses to answer they won't hire her. People have become so litigious here in the states that they ruin it for the people who have legitimate reasons for suing an employer. Tort reform would change a lot here, but many of the people who make our laws are lawyers, and in no hurry to change the status quo. I was an employer for 30 years in California with up to 100 employees, and I had only one former employee try to sue me for wrongful termination. She was an alcoholic, would get drunk at work frequently, and tried to sue her previous 3 employers for the same reason. Needless to say her suit was dismissed.
  19. LOL, I was waiting for somebody to chime in with that. Actually I was a third party administrator, so I never sold directly to the public. Guys like Ned Reyerson would sell through my company and I'd get a portion of the commission. Trust me, there are a lot of Ned's out there.
  20. Thanks Harry. I don't come across too many dinosaur bones, but I have a shitload of Native American artifacts. I've been a collector my entire life, and little did I know my knowledge of what I considered a hobby would be paying the bills one day.
  21. Actually yes she does if she wants the job. If she filed a lawsuit against her previous employer it's in the public record and not subject to privacy laws.
  22. Yep, those kinds of things tend to stay with a person and can make a job even more difficult to get. Was it actually a law suit or arbitration?
