DJ you seem to have missed the point I was attempting to make. Nowhere did I say that "all" of our youth has gone bad here in the states. The point I was making is that it's amazing this case even made it before a judge, and that shows there is a fundamental change in how our society works today compared to 30 or so years ago. There have always been problem kids and that will never change. But now we have a generation that's grown up with instant gratification and zero patience. They have computers, cell phones and many only seem interested in online porn or becoming famous on Youtube.
The young lady in this case didn't like the rules imposed on her by her parents and she moved out, she wasn't kicked out. In the link I provided in the original post, the parent even said that she is welcome to come home if she wants to live by their rules. I have 3 kids of my own between 16 and 23, all of which live under my roof. The same applies to them, my house, my rules. If you don't like it find your own way in the world.
