  1. The Associated Press just stated that the official position now is that the jet was hijacked. There are too many variables that are simply impossible in the event of a catastrophe. They now know that the transponder was turned off 12 minutes before the planes message system quit transmitting, which is impossible in the event of a crash. They're also now saying that it appears the jet was flown in a way to avoid military and civilian radar, something only a skilled pilot that knew the area could do. So either the passengers and crew are on the ground someplace for some as of yet unknown reason and being held against their will, or one of the pilots decided to commit suicide and wanted to take everybody on the jet with him. It's going to be interesting to see what happens over the next few days. If they ever do figure out what happened, count on it meaning more restrictions on passengers and better background checks on crews.
  2. I use Firefox and IE and so far it's only been a problem on IE. Glad I could help.
  3. If you're using IE try decreasing the size of the screen with the CTRL and then the - or negative key. Sometimes when there are updates to IE the screen size increases slightly and buttons vanish on the XI home page, like the background options button. After you update the background you can just put the screen size back to normal with CTRL and the + keys.
  4. I thought it was going to say "Made In China".
  5. Happy birthday Radar. Where the heck have you been? Our scores are suffering since you've been away.
  6. It was a typical Dutch response.
  7. Wow DJ, I'm certainly glad that the UK has never wrongfully imprisioned anybody before. It must be nice having perfect penal and judicial systems that are incapable of error. At least in the US when we release somebody that was wrongfully accused, we don't send them a bill for all of the free food and lodging for their years behind bars. http://www.rense.com/general50/25yt.htm
  8. Well, the little spoiled brat decided to move back home with her "abusive" parents. I guess life there wasn't so bad after all. http://news.msn.com/us/honor-student-who-sued-parents-returns-home
  9. They said on the news tonight that the last radar contact showed the plane making a turn, then it vanished from radar and either the plane crashed at that point or somebody manually turned off the transponder and it continued on for who knows how long. If it crashed when making the turn, there would be some kind of debris field on the water. Since there isn't that only leaves us with the transponder being turned off manually and the jet dropping below the radar. It had enough fuel to travel at least 3,500 miles which could reach India, North Korea or any country in the middle east. But getting there at low altitude without somebody seeing it seems unlikely. We may never know for sure.
  10. If you get to northern California let me know, and I'll make sure I'm in Nevada.
  11. LMAO that's a keeper.
  12. Happy birthday SC. I hope you have a great one.
  13. You've been gone?
  14. http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=856160 The greatest generation is quickly vanishing from the earth. RIP William, you earned a spot in heaven. Guarnere was portrayed by the actor Frank John Hughes in Band of Brothers.
  15. That's why we call them "spinners".
  16. No problem Lunkster. Try this size, and I added the admin tags at no additional cost.
  17. You have every right to be proud Rock. I'm thrilled when one of my daughters can get off their ass and take our dogs out for a dump.
  18. They do have smoking hot women in Ukraine. Not just because she's hot, but my God she was really great at pole dancing.
  19. Here you go. You're welcome.
  20. Who's old enough to remember the Intellivision Game Console? I use to love the biplane and tank games.
  21. Beautiful spot. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Ka'anapali. We hit 75 here in California today, looking for a bit of rain tomorrow evening which we need desperately.
  22. They're saying now that 2 of the passengers on the plane used stolen passports to buy tickets and get on the plane. Looks like it might be a terrorist suicide bombing.
  23. Are you kidding? If some idiot actually buys it for that price eBay makes about 10% of the sale. They could care less how it makes them look.
  24. When COD2 crashes on my laptop it's usually because my video card overheats. When I pick it up and look underneath, it looks like a bunny rabbit's ass is sticking out of the bottom of my laptop.
  25. I've been seeing this happening more and more on eBay and I'm not sure why people do it. Last night I noticed a spare tire cover for a Jeep had a starting price of $99,000. Perhaps it has something to do with search results and getting free advertising for new products. I get eBay auctions come up in Google search results all the time, sometimes at the top of the list.
