In game overlay's such as Teamspeak, overwolff, and Xfire are still having problems starting in BF4. If your client crashes when joining multiplayer turn off all overlays and you should be able to start the game right up.

I bought everything through Amazon and no questions asked they just send out a replacement without charging me anything. I buy everything through amazon now 

This build is just killing me its been way over a month. I have had nothing but issues with an Asus Motherboard Returned the board 4 times so far.

I started this build in october what a freekin nightmare

For Bf3 server get populated , you have to have certain players start the server every day... we need to head count how many of them are willing to play the game .. b4 we add the server

We kept the EU BF3 server open for a month after BF4 came out and the server was completely dead, so I took that as on one wanted to play it. 
 
Now if people want to get a server again and will actually play it, because its not easy getting a BF3 server going and populated. You will have to sit in an empty server for awhile to get it going, the way we did it before is that we had the admins there to sit in the server and wait for players to join. This could take up to 30 mins and sometimes people wouldn't show up at all. 
 
If you are committed to putting the time in to get it going then I will get another BF3 server. Just let me know

Someone give me it please, all in all this game has cost me nearly £300 so far, i think i deserve one after that

I too have a AMD FX-8350 processor with only 8 gigs of ram. I use to run my system with an Nvidia GTX-760 2 Gig mem, overclocked by Gigabyte. After release, driver updates, the problem you're describing never went away until I tried my son's card in my system. 
 
I run my games in 1920 X 1200. Unfortunately my 2 gig ram card doesn't have the performance in BF4 even running low, other games not an issue. Now I'm running a Radeon 7990 that I got a great deal on, which I run BF4 on "high", it is very smooth. My hit registration issues went totally away!
 
Is the card you have a two gig card? If so,consider looking at alternatives!

Hey gang...just wanted to inform the gang, especially those who were following the developments that the wife gave birth to our 'lil Dork last night. Baby weighed in at 8lbs 15oz and both him and the proud mom are doing very well. I expect to be offline for a day or two while we wait to get released from the hospital and get him settled in to the home life. Catch you idiots soon, and our ranks just got a bit bigger!

The cool thing about this, is I helped shape some of them.   The dev/designer who edits battlelog is very active on the bf4 subreddit, and always asks people on there for feedback of what they want.  Enjoy!

And the client stability has only been better so far because the servers kept crashing before my client did... other players were still dropping out several times per match as always. By and large, I still feel DICE's approach to programming is to have a few zoo loads of monkeys hammering at keyboards and just ship whatever the compiler doesn't crash on.

yea, as much as I was a skeptic too...it dramatically helped me out.  I will admit, W 8.1 was (well still is) a pain in the ass to get used to, but I only crashed out once yesterday playing BF4 in between maps.  Previous days I would average one to two crashes an hour mid map.  I will stand behind the assessment that W 8.1 is the way to go (for now) for more stable BF4 play.  I haven't checked my frame rates yet, but I was able to optimize my settings via NVIDIA experience and not see a decrease in stability or artifacts in game.

So as some of you may have noticed this morning you are no longer able to change the ticket count on Official servers to anything over 100. This means that my two 70 slot Official TDM servers that are currently number 7 and 9 in BF4 rankings have matches lasting less than 4 minutes. If you don't have an SSD you might not even get in the game until it's halfway over at this point.
We also tested if there were ticket restrictions on our "Ranked" server. We are not able to set a ticket value over 200% as anything over that amount immediately reverts back to 200.
We don't know if DICE did this on purpose of if this is some new rule that has come down from on high - but I do know that if this is now a permanent setting then 64 player TDM and other modes will be a thing of the past since the rounds will last about as long as the load times and the end screen.
Let me know your thoughts and if you have a server - try changing the tickets to be more than 200% on any server type.

Server Update R10 rolling out 
We are seeing a lot of server crashes at the moment. These are being solved by rolling out a new server patch on PC (Server Update R10). It will take a few hours for this new server version to propagate, but it should be with most servers in a matter of a couple of hours. If you are getting error messages referring to the China Rising expansion pack when trying to join a multiplayer server, please try another server. This error will only appear if a server has not yet updated from server version R9 to R10.

True.  Guess we'll see.  It seems though that others with server crashes are only seeing it 1-2 times a day.  Not 1-4 times every 2-3 hours.  Guess we can wait and see.   The did release a patch today.  So hopefully that will help.  According to some, it seems that the Leveluaitaitaiton (whatever its called)  is many times the cause.  (The Dam and C Tower)
