well the trans was shifting bad before the engine blew up so i figure just get it done and not have any issues down the road, plus the pump is inside the trans and is part of the rebuild kit. don't know whats up with the link, but it was big rebuild kit with all the Solenoids, bands, sprag bearings, gaskets and o-rings, should run another 90k no problem. plus im not a lead foot like my brother is, i got to do all that on the race track!

So i dropped the trans out of my 2000 jeep wrangler 2.5 . degreased and power washed it all up. going to be doing the rebuild myself, got my ATSG manual and found a you tube video series on how to tear down and rebuild step by step. getting what i need together and getting a spot cleared out in the garage to make a "clean room". before i make my order on a rebuild kit was wondering if any out there have any recommendations on where or what kit to buy, been looking into this and im looking at getting the "rebuild in a box" from makco transmission parts. http://www.makcotransmissionparts.com/12006G-BOX-1.html. i know some will ask so here is what i know of this trans/jeep:my brother bought it new and he is a lead foot! it has 90k miles when the engine blew, and right before that the trans was starting to slip. thats why im doing the rebuild, could be a little thing why it's slipping, but since the engine is out i figured just to get it rebuilt, all the trans shops around here want $800 plus to rebuild it and since money is tight, i figure ill save some cash

you are 100% on target with this wolf, for people to say he did it on purpose or tried to get close to him too throw dirt on him without any other facts is wrong. it is a fact those things don't give you much of a view from the drivers seat with the roll bars, wings, nets, helmet, dirt on the shield. and also those things don't steer at all, and to try and make a quick turn is impossible without getting the rear end over, that is way he throttled it the very second he hit ward, to try and turn the thing, but a lot of comments from the media and others who really don't know what they are talking about, we should be hearing it from those who race those cars and tracks, but i don't think i even seen one interview from a dirt track racer, this was the first time i heard something from a dirt track racer.

good to see you dropping by! see you in the trenches!

of coarse the media would want you to thank that Tony did it on purpose and make a big issue of it to bring in more ratings. but did you see any of the media go out and talk to the nascar racers he races with, even the ones that have had bad history with tony, nope you didn't cause they would of all told you that Steward would of not ran over someone on purpose. If it was a no name driver we would of never of heard of it in the news! I'm glad Tony is getting back in the car and back to work, got to be a hard thing to deal with for sure!

at some of the tracks i use to race at they would always have something like that going at the end of the night. like trailer races, school bus races, but never seen that one before, they are always a blast to watch

do you have your cod5 player profile file saved somewhere? if you don't you won't be getting you're profile back, even with the game key. it's always a good thing to do once in awhile to save your profile and put it on a usb drive for safe keeping in case of crashes or new installs.... think you will also have to change your name a bit also if you buy a new game since your character name will be on that account where you don't have the key for anymore. something like" _BigPapaDean" with that underscore in front or behind name.

does look pretty cool. think ill wait til after beta if i get it.

Wald was 20 years olds btw

getting out of the car happens too much, and from what they say this was the 1st time a death happened because of it.(at least in the pros) but we all know that no one will do anything about it til it's too late. nascar and other top racing seriers loves the drama and the TV ratings that go with it. like i said before that when i racing thing and if you got out of your car on the track you where done racing at that track and with the racing club you where in! only thing that should be happening on the track is racing, everything else happens off the track! but as usual in the pros they let those things go cause it brings ratings and cash!

ive been looking hard at the video and i just don't see them touching, like i said ward got into the loose dirt at the top. if you know anything about those dirt tracks you know that the dirt piles up there and gets real soft and when the right side tires get caught up in there it grabs it hard and slows it down.(don't know about you guys, but just because the media says something doesn't make it true) and as for just staying at the bottom of the track, again this isn't nascar on a hard track, he was doing the slid thing to pass ward, did steward pinch him a bit, maybe a bit. but steward was the faster car by far.don't know if ward was getting lapped, and if so should of held up to let the faster cars pass, instead of trying to hang with him, again..... that's racing.
-
someone "said" they touched but i don't see it, i didn't see stewards car move at all right when ward spun out, looked like there was some space between them. looks more like he got too far up the track and got into the soft dirt that piles up there, and when that happens you most likely spin out.
-
there was no cheating, if you know racing you would know that that happens all the time and steward did nothing wrong while racing in that race, . that's racing!!! the only thing that was wrong was getting out of the car and walking out on the track.
-
yep, ward tried to take him on the outside but couldn't get it done, looked like stewart held his line, at lease as much as you can on dirt. and since ward was behind it was his choice to go for it. You don't have to give other racers room til they over taking you, your're even allowed to make one move to block. (not the case here) the kid should of stayed in the car and waited to have words in the pits. raced for 7 years on small tracks and even on a yellow it's very dangerous to be out there walking on the track, even more so on a dirt track!
-
i don't think it will end his career. all racers know bad things can happen on the track, and since it was not Tonys fault, i think he well get over it with the support of friends, family and fellow racers. the news keep bringing up Tony's temper, but that is no longer an issue with him anymore, it was before and i hated him as a driver, but he grew out of it and now is a pretty good guy as racing goes, the 1st report i saw on this was CNN and they made it look like it could of happened because of Tonys temper. pftt, they know nothing of nacar/racing and shouldn't even say things like that, but thats CNN and media for you, clueless!
-
tony did nothing wrong, he was slowed down like the rest of the field and that guy ran out in front of him. and it was a dark track and that guy was in a black suit, also this was a dirk track race and helmet shields get dirty and hard to see threw. that's why one of the big rules in racing is dont get out of your car unless you're told by a track official or your car is on fire. but it happens all the time in the pros and with no penalties, there should be big fines and suspensions. when i was racing and that happened those racers where kicked out and never allowed back! i use to not like tony cause of his anger issues, but that was the past, he has matured out of that and is and great driver on and off the track now. this was a bad deal all around!

yep, was told by comcast to restart here too. WOOTS!
