Dear user of the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services: we discovered that between 17 and April 19, 2011, some information from PlayStation Network accounts and services Qriocity have been compromised following an intrusion illegal and unauthorized in our system. En_conséquence we had: 1) stop temporarily the PlayStation Network and services Qriocity; (2) Engage an external company recognized in security to investigate full on what happened; (3) Improve our security quickly and strengthen our infrastructure in reconstructing our system with increased protection of personal data. We thank you for your patience while we work hard to resolve these difficulties. While we investigate the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has had access to the information that you have provided to us: name, address (city, State, postal code), country, address, email, date of birth, logins and passwords from the PlayStation Network and services Qriocity, and PSN ID. It is also possible that your profile information have been affected, including the history of your purchases and billing (city, State, postal code) and the response address to your issue of security for your password. If you have secondary accounts, the same data are concerned. If you provided your credit card through the PlayStation Network or services Qriocity data, it is prudent to warn you that your credit card number (excluding the security code) and expiration date are concerned. There is no evidence of obtaining data of credit cards, but we cannot rule out this possibility. For your security, we encourage you to be vigilant about emails, phone calls, and postal mail that may ask for personal information. Sony will contact you in any way, including emails, asking you your bank numbers, social security numbers or other personal identification information. If you are asked this information, be sure that this request is not from Sony. In addition if you use the same user names and passwords for services not related to the PlayStation Network or Qriocity services, we strongly recommend you to change. When the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be reactivated, we also recommend you to change your login. To protect against possible financial loss or identity theft, we encourage you to remain vigilant on the evolution of your account data, your credit or any other data. Thank you for your patience during the investigation of this incident and we regret the embarrassment caused. Our teams work tirelessly on this issue, and our services will be back as soon as possible.Sony takes the issue of the protection of information very seriously and you have other questions.
