It is nice and centrally located. The quality of the bar and facilities becomes less relevant when there's a wealth of other options within walking distance, too. I'm game for this one.

I'd prefer town center, I don't care too much about the price difference because 1. taxis and buses are irritating and not that cheap and 2. the way-out-there hotels may be a little cheaper but for everyone who comes a day early or leaves a day late to accomodate flights, it's nice to have shit walking distance away. Speaking of which, can we do a topic where people list their flight times/days/airports so we can get some car pool action going?

As for fun; in Nottingham we went to a place with genuine British rainstorms and we got soaked and I had triple pneumonia. It is likely we can do something similar again, considering the weather on that bankrupt little rock in the north Atlantic.

That might be an offer I would take you up on... Def be willing to chuck some of thise funny England-Euros your way for fuel in that case.

My entire summer calendar is free yet. I'm game pretty much anywhere between middle of June and early September. Second half of July would fit best with the summer birthdays in my family but that's not a huge concern.

I wasn't thinking Bradford would be a more than once a week flight from here but it seems to be twice daily, and reasonably affordable. That'd work for me, yeah.

Flying into Manchester and driving to York would work, but we should consider arranging to ride together with those flying in, because it's a bit of a drive and I wouldn't use the UK public transport outside of London given the choice.
