I have prepared for tomorrow's events by going to the dentist today and my left half of my face is totally numb. Tomorrow we'll add the booze to extend that numbness all the way down.

For anyone asking: since we're going to be using the XI teamspeak server, just join that and we will hand out the server password a few minutes before we begin joining. the idea is to have an admin holding our hands with regards to mapgame mode settings anyway so tey can set a password on it there and then. (we'll be using the US 64slot server, since it's usually still empty by that time.)

Eh... drimpy, this is a Battlefield scrim. COD servers are notorious for not running that.

We've sort-of secured the 64 slot US server for this scrim. I've also sort-of gotten confirmation from two admins they'll be helping out so that password thing won't be a problem. I will do a PM flood to everyone who's said they're showing up to confirm and then I will draft the teams. I've already gotten suggestions for modes, but I will hold out a minute for the actual team sizes because I don't think carrier assault will work with two teams of 8. My thinking right now is: - one round of CTF - one round of CQ-S on a small map with limited vehicles (the foresty one with the aztec temple and one LAV and one tank looks pretty decent for small teams with vehicular warfare) - one round of Gun Master with idiotic/explosive weapons (USAS, C4, M320, XM25, crossbow w/ explo bolts, that railgun thing, mortar, claymore for instance. Still working this one out) OR - a round of Demolition replacing whichever of these modes doesn't suit people. The idea being to have three modes we don't play normally (most of us don't play CTF or Demolition very much and my personal experience is virtually nobody ever plays as a team with vehicles, so that could be interesting and different) If there are any issues with server availability Jay and Murda will be the ones who are held to be at fault. We can make them buy a few rounds of drinks in York i there's issues.

I really couldn't make heads or tails out of most of Texas' post but codpiece's reading of it certainly makes sense and sounds a lot like what Jay and Edd did for the EU boxes: add regulars and vocal players to your friends list, encourage them to frequent the server more often, and invite them to bring their friends and of course come in TS with us. In the overall popularity list the EU XI server is 118th right now, the US 634th. Of all servers with "XI" in the name on BF4 stats we can see a big difference in the number of players who have bookmarked the EU and both US servers. every single highly popular server has a fuckton of people bookmarking it. So codpiece is right: if you want the US server to get fuller, reach out to people, invite them into TS, invite them to keep coming back for games, and invite them to become a foXI. Random ranting at "you know who" probably doesn't help, to be honest. Especially when most people don't know who.

BF playing Americans? Codpiece, I think you know what I nee from you: names, addresses, and things we can use to blackmail them into coming to the ahem Euro vs America Scrim on April 17th thank you, carry on.

I won't say it wasn't tedious to get the camos but we got a lot of them yesterday and Yammi and Feclez both deserve a big fat THANK YOU for this. I've already seen someone comeplain about it in chat today, it's glorious! Yet another way to lose friends and alienate people. Having a lot of drinks helped a lot with the tedium by the way. If anyone else wants to try it.

the last image is full of obvious future tech references. it's about Russians + Asian associates invading Europe and the US and then getting kicked back by the Yanks. Not that anyone is going to play single player if they can avoid it.

I tried complaining to an admin about it too, but no joy - I even have footage of feclez blatantly stabbing me and Jay just watched it, laughed, complimented her, and subbed to my youtube channel. Totally inappropriate behaviour, I feel.

The camo was not meant to be dark on FLIR - that was actually fixed in the test environment but that patch never made it to live. It's doubtful it ever will now. As for Escape from RussianplaceIcan'trememberthenameofallthetime we'll see. It's in alpha. I don't buy stuff till it's in Release. But ARMA 3 was total horse shit in the opinion of all my DayZ:Epoch playing friends so we're keeping a tight eye on it, because it looks like it might become very epic multiplayer. We'll see what it's like when it gets here.

Commander will not be enabled if we don't get teams of a more sensible size. If there were a dozen players on either side I'd certainly open that up to a vote but right now... we need more yanks.
