If you ever run into a patch issue, you can open your Origin and RIGHT click your BF3 game icon/picture and you can select your game updates there. Sometimes I still have to do that myself, it doesn't always work on the Battlelog page for me. Just an FYI I tried that as encountered a glitch and needed to fix the install, and it refreshed from the 15Gb install file that is stored locally on a hard drive. It didn't pull any 1.x Gb patch. Is there a way to check to see what version the game is at or what patches have been applied?

Looked fun. I had no clue as to what the fucking fuck I was supposed to be doing. Couldn't fly a chopper to save my life. Driving a vehicle didn't work.Who was the enemy? What colour was my team? Objective? Maybe my mistake was playing on the Mixed Hardcore server, the only one with open slots. No in-game voice chat? I was completely and utterly lost. Suggestions? Like I said, it looked AWESOME, but where was the chatter form team-mates? I need a tutorial or more time on the single-player learning it. Dunno.

I'm still getting used to the config on my n52TE game controller. I still have to glance at my printed keymap now and then. Oddly, my game still hasn't shown me that a patch is avaialble. I'll check it uot tonight. I might even jump into the online game for a bit. I DO like the fact that when you hit the "run" key, it's not for 2-3 seconds like in COD/WAW.The physics looks to be pretty damn good too.

Origin is the provider EA uses for managing online games and for purchases. Damn. and I SWORE that I'd not buy any more EA crap. Shame on me.

I realized a few months go (and forgot) that I didn't want to get the game because EA are a bunch of fucktards. A half-price sale killed my common-sense. Having to be connected to the net, even to play single player is idiotic. Now, with this patch, they've added the ability to BUY bundles that give you the ranks and guns that you formerly had to earn through hard work and game-play. That's right. Every dickwad and kid with mommy's credit card can buy ranks and abilities that you used to have to spend months actually earning. Don't get me wrong, the single player game is fun and has some great graphics and great gameplay, but they've seriously managed to screw up the multiplayer with their greed. I haven't played multiplayer yet as I've only just started playing with the single player to get a feel for the game. With this new revenue stream/feature, do I want to even try the multi-player? Is there a way for server admins to see who bought their ranks and ban them? And there's no map editor for custom user maps. And you have to pay for any new maps. I should have saved my $$.

Cool, and thanks! On the downside, my wife has requested that I toss a hat or two in the trash to make room for more...

I downloaded and installed the latest beta driver from nVidia and rebooted. I can now get into the game and play. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days and see if it remains stable.

...and for some reason, I can't view attachments, not even my own. I get this error: " [#10171] You do not have permission to view this attachment."

It's bad enough that your PC has to be connected to the Internet just to be able to play even single player games, and that it launches in a browser. Now, when I launch it, I get this error (when it crashes it also powers the fans in my video cards down to the lowest speed. I set them for high during game-play). Any suggestions? It worked fine yesterday. I'm about to try and reinstall my video driver. I've already rebooted.

Loooove my R.A.T. 7. Three customizable configurations, a sniper button, mix and match parts to get the optimal shape for your hand, weights, built-in tool to make shape/size adjustments...it's a nice piece of engineering. It's by far my favourite mouse of several that I've owned over the past couple of decades.

R.A.T. 7 mouse with sniper button and 4 customizable sensitivity levels helps...unless you're easily distracted like me. I LOVE my RAT, but unless I turn off the iPhone and BlackBerry (work) and tablet and laptops and every other distraction, I will suck. As a COD WAW Freeze-tag player, the temptation to play with gadgets is huge as you can be frozen for long periods. When I am focused, the RAT gives me a serious edge.
