  2. Sonovabich Well sorry to hear that Glam rock was also called Glitter rock, hope it was'nt named after Gary Glitter, (never heard that before) Gary Glitter is a convicted paedophile and no radio station in the UK has played any of his songs for years now, going back to Marc Bolan, yes he was big in the Glam rock days but when he actually started making hits in the late 60's Glam rock was unheard of, it probably started in 1972/73, a lot of the groups who played under this mantel were just created especially for it, T-REX and Slade were 2 bands that were head and shoulders above the rest as i mentioned both were making hits before the genre and really just got caught up in the whole thing, Slade were actually a great rock band often underestimated and for anyone who has never saw it check out the movie "Slade in Flame" one of the greatest movies about a rock band ever. Maybe i should mention that David Bowie was also labelled at one point as being a Glam Rocker (forgot about that) but Bowies music also was far too good to be labelled with some of the other crap out at the time. yea I am not seeing much glitter in this music. Cool history though. As you can see.. we make it up as it comes.

  9. Labob Ok so Hmmmm prove it. They left out the atom in a giants thumb nail and in that atom is where our part of the universe resides. - we are that small compared to things. just an atom.

  11. PrimalFear - Remember this Guy, Happy B-Day Buddy Oh no Primal is gonna get sentimental on us now, lol The number one icon of the era back then, how time marches on. Today I enjoy spending time with my sons, I coach my oldest sons soccer team, attend every PTA meeting and work with the school fund raisers. and as I watch them grow I am always reminded of when I was a kid, and it always comes back to Star-Wars in one way or another. The lunch boxes and backpacks and whacking each other with plastic sticks made to look like light sabers, good vs evil and all that. The other night Faber (my oldest son) watched the movie ET with me and I broke out the Star-Wars collection. I got to be a kid with him all over again, as we sat on the floor and identified the characters and stuff, it was a lot of fun for us. Yeah I'm a Star-Wars nerd as Nick once said lol, dorky as it may be, this guy had an impression on me I will never forget. Happy Birthday buddy, thanks for the memories. http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/happy-60th-birthday-mark-hamill-225812450.html T2.... the movie that connected my son and I. So I can see star wars and we did share that one and others. Music as well. Our interests connect us.

  16. WHITEBOY I heard on this one show.....that there are more stars in the universe, than there are grains of sand on every beach, and on every desert on earth! Holy Moly! i agree..... that is crazy. but you know there has to be...... This shit goes on forever. How can it stop? just so much out there.. and we are stuck here on the internet. hahahaha
  17. I wish I knew what show I watched the other night.... space and dark matter and the expansion of our univers at ever increseaing speeds. Kind of like the ace mod. lol Our universe is amazing..... on tea spoon of matter from the center of our earth has a weight of millions of pounds. Can you fathom that. They were saying we are expanding faster and faster. Humm.. kind of what the myammee calendar says but different subject. Einstein did not recognize that.. well how could he but it changes some of his laws. Even heard emc2 might me incorrect. But wow was he not a brilliant man even if part wrong. http://www.inquisitr.com/144267/scientists-say-emc2-might-be-wrong-say-neutrinos-are-faster-than-light/
  18. NickTheGrip Yeah, it's Crack's team Also mine, and Lazslo's and Johnny Dos's to name a few I am a long time supporter, not like all the "band wagoners" that suddenly think they are going to the Superbowl. I am still cautious as I remember 2007 when they started 6-2 and didn't even make the playoffs by losing 7 of the next 8 games. This team does look a lot better though and they are winning on the road (2-0 so far) so I think they will do good. playoffs ... hope for that.. then see what happens.. but nothing less than the playoffs. i've been a bit of a fair weather fan my entire fucking life... or sometime in the 70's. Bulls.. fuck them.. but back then.. wow. Dallas in the 70's wow but now fuck dallas. lol damn i am even radical over sports. Love to see a great team though and dont like worrying over my losing team. Just like another.. hahahahaha
  19. Patriots lost.. i like them. I heard the Lions are doing good this year. Hope they can go far.. we need a change. crack.. think that is his team.. cant fing remember.

  22. Both these songs helped define what I think.... who was here first. Second is but 10 fold more obvious. Both great songs... both great bands. Remember the band YES?
  23. drunksniper hxtr I got the T Rex.... good stuff. What genre is this considered..... Arcade Fire is much like all this music. glam Rock 60's 70's Now I get it... does not seem so old of music... and a very modern sound. Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the UK in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter.[1] The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles. Glam rock visuals peaked during the mid 1970s with artists including T. Rex, David Bowie, Roxy Music and Gary Glitter in the UK and New York Dolls, Lou Reed and Jobriath in the US.
  24. WHITEBOY Here ya go hxtr......maybe this one might not be so distracting nice...... not near as good but not near as bad. hahahha
