  1. I agree. I just dropped in an Asus GTX970 4GB and am very happy with its performance.
  2. Yea for a couple of days it was intermittent like that. I would exit the game a couple of times, then reconnect and it would work. Not the past couple of days....tried many times to no avail.
  3. Funny you should ask. I grabbed the IP address off the main website: 162.248.95.177 Then I used the game console and issued the connect command and joined the server. I added the server to my favorites and that is where I usually connect from. But I do not even see the server in the complete server list when I refresh now.... Odd.
  4. Having trouble getting into COD4 Freeze Tag Server 1 When I have tried to join the past couple of days I am getting: Awaiting Key Code Authorization, then it times out. I have been playing in the server the past week or so, but haven't been able to get in for a couple of days. People are in the server, I just can't join. Did you block me? Am I missing something (Patch, update, config)? Any help (except Ayaq's) is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Smeg
  5. Bodie Island Lighthouse with Milky Way I took this in September while vacationing in Outer Banks of NC I setup my Canon 5D MK III (on tripod of course), Canon 24-70 f/2.8L USM. ISO 5000, f/2.8 @ 13 seconds using remote shutter release. Sorry about the watermarks, I am talking with the lighthouse foundation about some of the photos.
  6. This was taken at the Conowingo Dam on the Susquehanna river on the border between MD and PA Eagles frequent the area because of the abundance of fish that get 'chummed' up in the hydroelectric dam. If you're a bird photographer / watcher, this is one of the highest concentrations of Bald Eagles East of the Mississippi.
  7. Yes you did, and I liked it...
  8. Thanks! It has taken me a long time to collect the gear I have. I really would like the 500 f/4L USM IS II to couple with my 7D MK II and 5D MK III But my pocket isn't deep enough for that lens.....
  9. Jon these are great! And it looks like we almost followed in one another's tracks. Only difference is that we did not take a cruise. We flew into (and out of Anchorage). Beautiful state!!
  10. Hi all, I just found this forum and thought I would jump into the discussion. I am a long time photographer (I won't say how long)...but my interest in photography goes back to the early 1980s. It has gone from being a hobby to a passion of mine. While I do IT stuff as a career, I also do photography professionally now. It brings in enough to help support my hobby. I am strictly a Canon shooter, but only married to the brand because of my inventory of lenses and 'accessories'. My current inventory of camera bodies consists of; Canon 7D Mark II Canon 5D Mark II Canon 5D Mark III My current inventory of lenses consists of; Canon 100 f/2.8 macro USM Canon 85 f/1.8 USM Canon 24-70 f/2.8L USM Canon 24-105 f/4L USM IS Canon 70-200 f/2.8L USM IS II Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L USM IS Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Canon 2.x Teleconverter III My passion is nature / wildlife photography, but they don't pay any money. So I do a lot of portrait / headshot / wedding and event photography. Here's a gallery of photos my wife and I took in Alaska last summer: http://www.digitaledgephotography.com/alaska-2015
  11. Thanks for the invite Moron! Happy to be here....
  12. Very nice Hemps. I love my 1911. I carry a Colt Defender 1911 or Sig Sauer P238 daily. I also have a Remington R1 1911 (full size). Love it, but its too big to carry.
  13. And....last night was the first time I have played COD4 in like 10 years. So different, will take me a while to get back into the groove.
  14. Well the problem with that "one bar" in Willow....was that everything had been shutdown because of the wildfire and the people evacuated. It was a mess. We were on our way North to Talkeetna and Trapper Creek. Got my first tasting of moosmeat casserole in Willow...it was great! I have eaten enough of your nades to remember them (vividly). Just watch out, I might toss one (or two) back!
  15. Ayaq, Words cannot describe how beautiful the state of Alaska is. It was definitely a 'bucket list' trip for me and my wife, and we cannot wait to go back! Check out some pictures and video we took while there: http://www.digitaledgephotography.com/alaska-2015 We were there (and got stuck in Willow) during the Sockeye Wildfire last June.
  16. Starpicket, yes, enjoy shooting you (and anyone else) in the name of fun! But I won't change my ways, you can't make me.
  17. Ayaq! Sure do my friend. How goes the battle? Hey the wife and I were in Alaska last June....thought about you. Had no way to contact you, otherwise I would have tried.
  18. Hi everyone, This is SGTSmeg (a.k.a Dave). I have been playing on the XI Freezetag and Custom Map servers for quite a while now. Frankly the XI servers are my absolute favorite. I really do not play any other games other than COD WAW. Occasionally COD2. I played with another clan several years ago (LCG) and kind of got out of it for a while. I enjoy playing with members of the XI clan very much. Everyone is so friendly and fun. A couple of members suggested that I setup an account and get to know everyone a little better. Here's a little about me. I am 54, married 30 years (this coming October) and have one son who is 24. Live in Virginia about 30 miles from Washington D.C. I am an IT Storage / SAN / Backup / Disaster Recovery Engineer by trade. I am also a volunteer firefighter and have been serving for almost 10 years. I am also a professional photographer when I am not doing anything else. Well that pretty much sums it up. I look forward to playing with you and chatting with you online. SGTSmeg
