  1. So sorry to hear. Lost my 15 year old Jack Russell Terrier Maisy Mid-March. We miss her so much.
  2. Awesome, this just made my day! I miss my dog very much...can't wait to get another. Thanks for sharing, she has done an incredible job!
  3. It's no wonder you're so good at Freeze Tag
  4. Welcome to the forums!
  5. This is the exact card I just installed. I previously had the NVidia Geforce 970 (4GB) and would get around 91 fps in COD4 FT. The EVGA Superclocked 1080 is giving me 125 fps. I haven't overclocked my CPU or GPU. It really doesn't make a big difference in my game play because I suck. But my photography and video editing software rocks now.
  6. Having just moved from Intel I7-3770 and Nvidia 970 to a new Ryzen I7 1800 this past week.....I honestly am not overly impressed. I coupled it with an Nvidia 1080 and 32GB of memory running on a ASROCK X370 K4 motherboard. Yes its cheaper than Intel. But so far I have not seen a vast improvement in performance. Of course I suck at playing games....so that may be the key.
  7. Oh my gosh, so very sorry to learn of your loss. Thoughts and prayers to all!
  8. IT Engineer (SAN Storage / Backup / Disaster Recovery), Professional Photographer....um and volunteer Firefighter.
  9. Welcome!
  10. I picked up a new ASROCK K4 motherboard and I was surprised at how easy it was to swap out. I had visions of having to do complete OS install and programs, games, etc. Nothing....it booted up, I installed the new motherboard chipset drivers and the new video card drivers and voila! Having said that, I'm sure my game play will be no better than before.... LOL
  11. Harry I truly feel for you, and you're right...Uncle Sam did not hold up their end of the deal. TYFYS! -Smeg
  12. Well I have been an Intel purist for a long time....but you convinced to change my ways....I hope I don't regret it. I picked up; AMD Ryzen 7 1800X ASROCK K4 X370 M/B EVGA Superclocked 1080 GPU 32GB DDR4 2400 RAM Now I just need to get it all together.......
  13. Well looks like my ASROCK Z77 Extreme4 motherboard may have bit the dust after almost 5 years. Appears the PCIe 3.0 slot may have fried. Have tried several (working) video cards in that slot and it won't recognize any of them. Looks like I just got the excuse I needed to do an upgrade Nevertheless I may be down for a few days....
  14. You were destined to be an Idiot. Welcome aboard!!

  19. Did someone say mountains? This picture was taken June 2015 when my wife and I explored the beautiful state of Alaska. We shot our wad and took a flightseeing tour of Mt. McKinley (since named Denali) with a landing on Ruth Glacier at 6,500 feet. The summit of Mt. McKinley is still another 14,000 feet above us. Alaska is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Truly a postcard everywhere you go. If I could stand the bitter cold I would move there in a heartbeat. Absolutely stunning....
  20. I carry my Colt Defender .45 ACP regularly in the winter and my SIG SAUER P238 .380 ACP I prefer all metal guns And I especially like the safety features of the traditional 1911 frame

  25. My little Jack Russell Terrorist...er I mean Terrier Maisy about 13 years ago. I found her snuggled up with my son's stuffed animals and couldn't resist snapping a photo. She's slowing down now and will probably cross that Rainbow Bridge in a year or so.
