I was using google.ca mainly because I am Canadian and we usually do not hold back/hide info. BUT...I did do some research online and there were tests done comparing Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo and it seems that DuckDuckGo is preferred over the other 2. The latest Linux Mint release is using DuckDuckGo as its default search engine in a revenue sharing plan, given DuckDuckGo's friendliness to free software, as well its privacy tools. I chose to switch to DuckDuckGo because it doesn't store your personal info, follow you with ads or track you.

You only have to install 1.6 and 1.7 in cod4. The 1.6 patch contains patches 1.1-1.5. It just sounds like one or both of them did not completely install properly. Try doing both of them again. It does or did. Just not even close as much as w10. But if you turn auto updates off and do not download the spyware KB updates your fine. Even the KB3035583 that was the update that forced you to w10 was avoided by many due to having auto update turned off. I have bare minimum w7 ultimate with no updates other than the service packs on my pc and there is no spyware from microsoft.

Every time w10 gets updated they add more spyware and change old ones. There are over 200 spyware files in w10 now. Does spybot update every time w10 does? I do not have an issue of how good w10 runs or how games run better. I get how peeps are not having any issues by running w10. My issue is PRIVACY. Over the past 5 years I have become a very outspoken person (a bitch per say) over many issues. It's one thing that the USA citizens are being spied on by their own government and can't do anything about it but it is another thing when it is trying to spy on the rest of the world through microsoft. When I read articles about US corporations turning to linux because their technicians found spyware in the back of w10 and when they tried to remove it they could not. They contacted microsoft and were told told there is nothing they could do. Microsoft has copies of all their top secret projects. Well we all know how gates stole the the first operating system from software pioneer Gary Kildall back in the 80's. With all that spyware in w10 what's to stop him from doing it again? So many large corporations with w10 turned to linux. The amount of law suits that microsoft lost over w10 has cost them billions since it was forced on people and businesses. I am very surprised at how easily people trust microsoft and w10. Lets see if in one of these future updates if w10 successfully links to peoples cell phones (like it is trying to) and they can turn the camera on and take pictures of people. How safe do you all feel, seriously? I do not feel safe at all and that is why I do not want anything to do with w10.

I never have windows update turned on. I have not manually updated my w7 since they tried to force w10. I am a 100% supporter of AMD!!! My laptop has linux on it so no worries there.

I agree 100%!!! I will never install w10 ever for any reason. I will go linux and lose some of my daily windows only stuff before I install that non private spyware shit ass crap!! Linus is 100% isolated from windows and linux does not share any data with windows. Being open source they write everything on their own. The users have 100% control.

I totally agree!!! STEAM has a full collection of games for linux. If you buy the game for linux it automatically gives all download links for windows. Kinda makes me want to buy the linux games so I can put it on my w7 pc and my linux laptop.

I am a curious woman. LOL I have read the threads and comments to the issues of CODWAW. I am just wondering why anyone would think it has anything to do with Activision? I mean they do not host game servers. I would think it would be the game server host you rent your box from. I get that the ips are disappearing from the list and reappear when the server has been restarted. Is the same thing happening to your COD4 servers?
